Y/n rushed around the day care hatching eggs working hard to get a special mon for the last part of a gift. The eggs they was hatching was no other then Applin eggs, She would trade off the ones not needed or release them. she was hunting for no other then a shiny the green applin rare and sweet. Tomorrow was their meet up with the best friend Hop. The two have been friends for years, they been in alot together from the journey to both following there dreams, hop is working on becoming a pokemon professor, them they was champion of galar. they make time to hang out as much as they can, they always call eachother and chat about their day and facetime almost every night. Y/n grew to have feeling for the Bubbly best friend for a long time now. they had no idea on how to tell them, till one day a book gave them the best idea, Applin is know to be gave as gifts to the person you are falling for, so the hunt began for the perfect applin. They had a hard time finding the right one for Hop, they didn't want to be simple they wanted it to stand out like their feeling do for him. That when they seen the shiny of applin it was just what they needed. They have been hatching eggs for the past week for the shiny but so far no luck was gave to them.
Hop was in the pokemon lab lost in thinking about Y/n they have been talking less then they use to the past week. He was worried for them maybe work was getting to much for them. Unknown to Y/n Hop had feeling for them as well. He had a applin in a love ball ready to be gave to them for weeks now but fear held him back. What if they didn't like them back or was into someone different it could hurt there friendship, He didn't want to lose them. Hop sighed and layed his chin on his crossed arms. the applin that was for Y/n came out of its love ball and rolled over to him with a soft hum it nuzzled his arm. He smiled softly petting it. "I know I need to tell them, but why is it so hard...I have you a bow and in a love ball....its perfect, and I can easily get their favorite flowers....but The butterfree in my belly makes it like I am facing a bewear...." Leon laughed from behind Hop making him jumps and spin around. Hop looked at his older brother and blushed deeply, "how long have you been here!" Hop stuttered out. Leon laughed and slapped a hand on hops back. "from the begin so little brother has someone he trying to confess to. Let me guess its Y/n?" Hops face got hotter and he looks away from his brother. "yes...it is...Just having a hard time getting up the nerves" Leon sighs and pulls over a rolling chair sitting down by his brother. "I am not good with this but I know one thing Hop, it will never happen if you don't make it happen, love is like a pokemon battle you won't win if you never try...why not surprise her today A little rookiedee told me they are at the day care hatching eggs for some reason~" Hop let his big brothers words set in before grabbing his phone calling a flying taxi. "your right if I dont try" he returns the applin gripping the ball rushing out yelling "It will never happen and I will lose her forsure!" Leon laughed waving as he ran out.
Y/n watch a egg hatch, A non shiny applin came out. They let out a huge sigh tearing up lightly sitting down by a tree the applin rolled over to them confused leaping on to there knee. they weakly smiled and petted the applin. "you all are super sweet....but I been trying for days to get a shiny but no lucky...maybe it's not meant to be....maybe its they way of the universe to tell me he don't like me back...."She pulls out a Luxury ball looking at it holding it to the applin. "no...you know what....I can just use you sweet heart, your perfect would you like to help me confess to a guy I love?" The applin bumped the ball going in happily. Y/n let them out petting the applin softly. The sound of a corviknight made them both jump. A taxi lands in front of the day care. No one other then hop himself gets out thinking the drive looking around his eyes landing on Y/n. Y/n jumped returning the applin standing up."Hop what are you doing here!" Hop walked over grinning ear to ear. "looking for you You been not calling and had me worried...I also want to tell you something come on, let's go away from the daycare a bit so we are alone..." Hop grabs Y/n hand pulling them with him away from everyone at the daycare.
the forest was quiet around them. Hop takes a deep breath turning the face Y/n his gold eyes shining softly in the lighting. "Y/n I been needing to tell you this for a long time...I set it up last month and never had the guts to say it...We have been friends, and rivals for a long time....but I want to confess something....He pulls out the love ball letting the applin out in to his free hand. "Here in galar giving a applin to the one you love mean you will be together forever....I-I want to become more then friends...I am....I am in love with you Y/n have been for a long time..." He grabs her hand place the love ball in it the applin hopped over on to y/a's shoulder happily. "I give you this applin in Hope's you feel the same...." Hops heart was racing at this point shaking like a leaf as he spoke. Y/n teared up lightly smiling before grabbing the luxury ball from her pocket. "h-here..." Hop got confused but let the pokemon out. the applin that just hatch came out happily into his shoulder. Both applins gave out a happy cry. Hops eyes go big. "so the not talking was..." y/n buts in looking down. " I was....hatching for a shiny applin so I could tell you...I love you too....I wanted a shiny because I thought it would be more special...but I had no luck....I just hatch this one and it was sweet so I was going to use it to confess to you...." Hop grins grabbing Y/n cheek softly the other hand grabbing there hip pulling them closer. "shiny or not...I love them....because it's from you..." Hop spoke softly before softly kissing Y/n. the kiss was soft and sweet. they pulled away from each other smiling happily. a flash from Y/n bag grabbed other of the trainers the last egg hatching in Y/n bag from the egg hatched a Shiny Applin.
Applin Its is know in Galar to give someone a applin means you will be togther forever.
