Right after Divination ended, Mary excused herself from Draco and Cassius and went with the Gryffindor trio to walk down the stairs outside to Hagrid's hut for Care of Magical Creatures class.

''You don't think that Grim thing has anything to do with Sirius Black, do you?'' asked Ron to the two Gryffindors and the Slytherin,

''Oh, honestly Ron! If you ask me, Divination's a very woolly discipline. Now Ancient Runes. That's a fascinating subject.'' said Hermione,

''You're just mad that you don't understand it'' said Mary giggling, making the Gryffindor girl glare at her.

''Ancient Runes? Exactly how many classes are you taking this term?'' Ron asked Hermione

''A fair few,'' she answered with her nose in the air,

''Hang on. Ancient Runes is the same time as Divination. You'd have to be in two classes at once.'' Mary exclaimed

''Don't be silly. How could anyone be in two classes at once?'' Hermione scoffed, ''Broaden your minds... USE YOUR INNER AURA TO SEE THE FUTURE!'' she mimicked Trelawney making Mary giggle.

The students gathered around Hagrid's hut for Care of Magical Creature class, once Mary and the Gryffindor trio arrived she went back with her boys, ''Why'd you went with them?'' asked Draco nodding his head to the Gryffindors with a scowl on his face, ''They're my friends, Draco. I care for them, I just went to see if Harry was alright after what Trelawney said,'' she answered shrugging her shoulders,

''C'mon now, get a move on! Got a real treat for yeh. Great lesson comin' up. Follow me,'' said Hagrid walking inside the Forbidden Forest, his students walking behind him. '' I want to meet Hagrid, boys. Be right back,'' she said to Cassius and Draco.

She caught up with Hagrid and greeted him, '' Hello, Hagrid! My name is Mary, I'm....Hermione's sister. I've heard about you in her letters, is nice to finally meet you!'' Hagrid's eyes got wide '' Blimey! didn' know Hermione had a sister!'' he exclaimed making Mary's smile fade a little, ''Yeah...'' she chuckled humorlessly,

''Well, 's nice to finally meet yeh too, Mary! Hope we become good friends!'' he said, making her smile, '' So, Hagrid. What are we learning today? Are we going to see a creature?'' she asked excitedly, ''Yer' good at keeping secrets?'' he whispered.

''Yeah! Very, actually.''

'' 'kay, we're going to see a Hippogriff. Ever heard about Hippogriffs?'' he whispered to her, making her eyes and smile wide while her hair turned a shade of pink and orange, ''Yes! I've read about them! I think they're marvelous creatures! ''

''Right ye' are! talkin' about 'em, here we are. Go back to yer friends I'll show ye all the Hippogriff now,'' said Hagrid,

Mary ran back to her friends, ''Hello, boys!'' she said walking to them, both giving her a small smile, ''Right, you lot! Less chattering, form a group over there—'' said Hagrid pointing to a couple of rocks, ''—and open yer' books on page 49.,''

''Exactly how we do that?'' Draco asked him with a scowl, book in his hand.

''Yeh stroke the spine, of course!'' answered Hagrid as if stating the obvious,

Draco stroked its spine with his ringed fingers making the book calm down, looking back at Hagrid with raised eyebrows and continuing to walk. Mary, Cassius, Draco, and other Slytherins walked to the rocks Hagrid ordered them to be in. Mary saw that Neville's book was attacking him, so she quickly went for him.
