I guess the adrenaline rush from sneaking out was enough to fuel me for the whole night out but it was never until I came home that I realised what the consequences of my actions were, I mean I had done it before. Plenty of times, they should be used to it by now but of course, they weren't. Every Friday night I would rush home from school to my house and eat the microwave meal that my mum left out for me before both my parents returned from work. After I had ate I would walk down the street to a dead end where my friends would meet me in there mini vans and drive us to wherever there was a club we could get into or a house party we could get wasted at. I loved it, I felt like I was really living the wild life, I had no worries all night, until I had to sneak back into my house and explain to my parents why I hadn't been home that night. The excuses changed every time, I still got punished but it never stopped me. It was tonight that I realised that I couldn't get away with it for much longer, when I walked back up my drive I looked through the window next to the front door and saw that only the small lamp was on, which surely meant that my parents where asleep, right? Wrong. As I turned away from the window I saw the front door open slowly, I ducked into the rose bush near the window forgetting about the thorns, "Shit"I screamed and stood, i turned to face the door and both my parents were staring at me with their arms crossed. My mum was glaring at my clothes and my dad was shaking his head. I walked through the door and pushed past them, "don't even think about going upstairs" my mum called to me as I prepared myself to run up the stairs. I walked to the sofa and sat down, I was going to be here for a long time. "Where have you been?" "How long has this been going on for" once the questions started they wouldn't stop, I had been caught before but this time felt different. 5:30 Am they were still asking questions, I replied with sort answers, nothing but lies of course, eventually they let me go up to my room, reminding me that 'I was lucky to be able to wear makeup but I was taking advantage of the rules' I rolled my eyes at them and walked to my room, I climbed into my bed and slept.
The next morning my mum decided to start the long list of punishments by waking me up at 8 and pushing me out the door in my sweatpants and vest top, the only makeup that I was wearing was the left overs from the night before. I sulked to the convenience store with a grumpy face, I held my phone and purse close to my body, it was obvious to anyone that I had no idea that this morning would be the morning that changed everything for me. When I got to the store I walked to the refrigerated zone where I could get the milk from, when I tall guy walked into me, he had his earphones in his ears and was halfway through air drumming when he walked into me,he was so tall he almost knocked me over, he slid backwards and put both arms on each of my shoulders,"watch it" I mumbled shaking him off me. "Sorry" he smiled and walked off, he had a massive smile, with really annoying dimples, they were annoying because they were so cute, he had hazel eyes and blonde curly hair. I grabbed the milk and walked to the counter, I placed the money of the desk, "thanks" a voice said, I looked up to see the same guy that walked into me. "What's your name?" He asked me, "Evie" "that's a nice name, mines Ashton" "nice" I grabbed the milk and head towards the door, "see ya around then, Evie!" He shouted after me, I rolled my eyes and walked out.
