Y/N pov:
Me and Melanie have been friends for as long as I could remember but as I started to get older i started developing feelings for melanie. I never told melanie that I had feelings for her because I was scared that I was gonna ruin our friendship so i decided to keep my feelings to myself.
Me and melanie were chilling at her house and we were watching the voice when I randomly had a good idea.
"Hey melanie." I said to the beautiful girl.
"Yes?" She responded
"What if you signed up for the voice"
"What?Me!?"
"Yes you silly."
"But I can't sing. You kinda have to be able to sing to be on the voice."
"You can sing! And you're great at it. I think you have a beautiful voice and you would be ABSOLUTELY GREAT on the voice."
"Really, you think so?" She asked
"I know so." I replied
"You know what, why not. Let's do it."
"Omg, really? You'll do it?" I said with the biggest smile on my face.
"Yep."
"Yay! Ok I'll look up the requirements and how to sign up and where to audition. Omg yayyyyyyyy!!!!" I said running out of the room to get my laptop.
"Where are you going??" Mel asked me.
"To get my laptop so we can get you ready for your auditionsssssssssssss!!!" I said holding out the s because I was super excited.
*𝐀 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫*
Today was the day melanie was auditioning for the voice and omg me and her were excited.
I noticed mel was kinda shakey and she looked a little bit nervous.
"Hey mel,you okay? You look a little bit nervous."
"Yeah I'm just a bit nervous."
"Hey, don't be. You'll do great, you're an amazing singer and if they can't realize that then it's their loss." I said trying to comfort the girl.
"Aww, that's really sweet of you." She said then kissing my cheek right after.
I tried to ignore the butterflies in my stomach from mel kissing my cheek but I couldn't cause damn I loved that girl. "i should tell her tonight"i said in my head. "No she's already got enough going on and I don't need to be bothersome." I said again in my head.
I decided to ignore the voices in my head and keep my eyes focused on the road while mel drives us to the audition place.
"Yay! We're here." I here mel say.
"Yay."
We walked hand in hand to the building and the butterflies in my stomach were going cRaZy.
Melanie pov:
Omg we're holding hands. I hope my hands aren't sweaty. Y/n's eyes are so pretty. Fuck! What am I thinking we're just friends and I doubt she likes me like how I like her, like how everytime she laughs i get butterflies in my stomach or like how everytime I see her lips I just want to kiss her.
I was pulled from my thoughts when y/n let go of my hand and I realized we were in the building. Omfg we're doing this, I'm so nervous.
I spotted my family sitting in some chairs in the back waiting for me so I took y/n's wrist and walked over to my parents.
Y/n pov:
"Hey!"I yelled because melanie made me drop my bagel.
"What?" She asked.
"You made me drop my bagel and I was gonna eat that now I don't have a bagel and now I'm sad." I said with a fake pout.
Melanie giggled. Oh that giggle, I could listen to it for hours.
We stopped walking when we reached the spot where her parents were and she hugged them and started talking to them so I decided to go get myself a new bagle because I was being serious I really wanted to eat that.
Melanie pov:
It was only a few more minutes until it was my turn and I was so fucking nervous. Me and y/n had been talking almost all day until a few minutes before my turn for auditions and she went to go get us something to drink from the vending machine except she said that I couldn't have a soda because it wasn't good for me to have soda right before I sing so she got me a water. It wasn't until y/n left to get our drinks that I hit reality, I'm about to audition for the voice. Wow. Y/n came back with our drinks and she noticed I was nervous so she held my hand to comfort me.
*five minutes later*
It was finally my turn so we walked to the stage curtain area thing and soon enough the called my name to come on stage so I hugged y/n quickly before going out to the stage and sitting down.
( I don't feel like putting all the lyrics to toxic so let's just pretend I did)
I finished performing and getting feedback from the judges and i picked my team and even though I couldn't show it on stage I was so freaking happy. I went and hugged the judges and quickly ran back stage.
Y/n:
Melanie did such a great job, I'm so fucking proud of her. When she came backstage I immediately ran to her and hugged her, after we hugged her family hugged her and told her they were super proud of her and such and such.
It was about an hour after mel auditioned and she had a few people she needed to speak to and a few papers she needed to sign so she could be on the show. Her family already left and I offered to drive her to our hotel room so I was just sitting in a corner on the floor waiting for mel to be done.
Once mel was finally done she walked to where I was sitting so I got up and grabbed her hand and we walked to the car.
Melanie pov:
I got in the car and waited for y/n to and she got in the car and put her seatbelt on and was about to put on some music but I stopped her.
"Why no music?" She asked me with a confused look on her face.
"Because I have to tell you something."I said seriously.
"What is it? What's wrong baby?" She asked confused and concerned.
Hearing her call me baby just made me heart smile.
"Okay sooooo I've been wanting to tell you this for a really long time but I was scared that if I told you you weren't gonna wanna be friends with me anymore."
"Hey you can tell me anything, nothing you say or do would make me want to stop being friends with you." She said with her hand in my cheek.
"Ok, I like. Like a lot a lot. You make me feel like I've never felt before and everytime you giggle or hug me or we hold hands I get butterflies and-
I was cut off by a pair of lips on mine. The kiss was perfect it nice and gentle and it didn't want to stop but we had to cause yk we needed air to breathe so we could survive.
"I like you too." Y/n said to me while looking at me with her beautiful blue eyes that I fall in love with everyday.
"Sooooo... do you want to be my girlfriend?" I asked shyly.
"That is no proper way to ask a lady to out." Y/n said in a funny British accent and I giggled at her humor.
"Ok, y/n would you be so kind to accept my request to be my lovely girlfriend?" I asked, also in a British accent.
"I would love to." Y/n said in a normal accent before connecting our lips together again.
