Chapter 11

Lauraline

The morning after the party was the worst. I moan, squinting my eyes and rubbing my temple while trying to see what time it was. 4:27 pm. SHIT! I slept all day. I sit up slowly and turn to see JB is already out of bed. Where's my phone? Awe, JB charged my phone. I grab my cell from the nightstand and head to the bathroom. Oh, that is disgusting. Excellent job, Lauraline. I was looking at last night's throw-up session. I flush the toilet and go to grab some clothes so I can take a shower. After getting dressed, I brush my teeth and head to start cleaning up last night's mess.

I must be crazy. I swear there was a huge party last night. Where is the mess? Where are the drunken bodies crashed on the floor? I walk into the kitchen and see Alyx doing dishes.

"What are you doing?"

"Dishes, duh," he says sarcastically.

"I see that, you jackass, but why? And what happened to the house? It's so clean."

"JB got up at 10ish. He woke up everyone and had them help pick up. Then the asshole had me help take everyone who was still drunk home while he followed with their cars. Taylor, Ryder, and he are currently finishing up the lawn. I choose to stay away from the sunlight cause I have a massive hangover. Hence dishes."

"Why didn't he wake me up to help?"

"He said you threw up most of the night and wanted you to rest."

"I still would have helped. Anyway, thank you, Alyx."

"Yep." he says, popping the p. "Anytime."

"Alright, I'll be back in a minute."

I head outside and see everyone sitting outside. Ryder is smoking, and Taylor is on her phone. And JB is leaning over the railing rubbing his neck.

"Long morning?" I say, wrapping my arms around his torso.

"It wasn't so bad." he smiles and turns around to kiss me.

"I could get used to this."

"To what?"

"Us. Here. Standing on this porch, just being together. It's nice. Being safe."

"You never have to worry about your safety ever again."

"Don't ever leave me, ok?"

"Well damn, I had already planned to take a trip to Hogwarts. But, I guess I can put it on hold."

"Woah, If you're going to Hogwarts and you don't take me, you are dead." I laughs.

Seven weeks later

Johnboy

Since Lauraline has gotten out of the hospital, things have been amazing. She came back to work four weeks ago. Maurice made sure that we would work every shift together. Hunter and Dylan were banned. She was scared to tell Maurice what happened. But he reassured her never to be afraid to talk to him. He also told us not to worry about the rent for two months. Thank god! I mean, the guy is an actual angel. Dalton finally proposed to his boyfriend, Luke. They are going to be getting married in 7 months. Alyx moved about ten minutes away. I honestly don't see why he didn't just move in here since he is always around. Ryder and Taylor are here almost every day. We all watch movies, play video games, play board games, do puzzles. We make sure to be in each other's lives. We have had a couple of parties. Not nearly as big as our first one. And it always ends up with me and Lauraline naked in bed. I love it. Well, the waking up to see her every day. Things have been great. Well, I mean, they were great.
