I sighed, flopping down on my bed and taking a deep breath. I was exhausted. When I had decided to take this job I had thought it would be more glamorous, not just taking care of fish and scrubbing tanks.
I missed dolphins. Dolphins were such majestic creatures that had such an intelligence that was superior to a jellyfish (not that I have anything against jellyfish). I wanted to go home, see Clay, Phoebe, Rosie, Hazel, Sawyer, everybody back at home.
I was plainly and utterly homesick. So that's when I decided to make the split second decision to quit my job and go back home.
1 week later...
I pushed my sunglasses up my nose, crinkling my nose. I was currently outside the Florida airport and I had completely forgotten how hot and humid it was.
"Home sweet home," I smiled.
When the taxi dropped me off in front of CMA, I was completely shocked. This place wasn't the old-sewage-plant-converted-into-an-aquarium. This was an actual aquarium with nice painted walls, tour guides, and hordes of people. I started to feel panicked. I hadn't told a single person that I was coming back. What is they didn't want me here? What if they thought I was being insensitive? What if-
"Cameron Shin? Is that you? Are you really here?"
I turned behind me and grinned when I saw who is was. It was Kyle, Sawyer's adult cousin.
"Kyle!" I smiled, giving him a hug.
"How are you?"
"Me? He asked.
"How are you? Does Rosie know you're here? Phoebe? Clay? Hazel? Sawyer? Anyone?"
I shook my head.
"On an instinct, I decided to quit my prestigious job with a high pay to come back to this dump. Though I see it isn't really a dump anymore," I laughed, motioning all around me.
"Well, anyway, it's good to see you. Do you want to head in? There's an event today. Bethany Hamilton is at CMA and Hazel is giving the tour while Rosie and Sawyer help Phoebe with Winter's tail."
I shrugged.
"I'm here, so why not? Plus, I can hide in the crowd until I get the courage to surprise everyone."
Kyle motioned forward.
"Then let's go!"
