CHAPTER THREE

Darkness surrounds you like a void of nothingness. Your heart beats so loud, its the only sound you hear. You look around for your cousin but the pitch blackness makes it impossible to see anything. It was a pointless thought to search for someone when you can't even see your hand in front of you. Panic starts to settle in. "I don't want to lose my best friend as well." You whisper quietly as you cover your face, taking deep shaky breaths.

"Take slow breaths." You hear an unfamiliar voice from behind you.

You cautiously turn around. "Who are you?" You question the darkness.

Then suddenly the darkness is embraced by the light.

The light disappears and in its place a man with long red hair appears.

His bright amber eyes soften at the sight of you, a gentle smile on his face.

He doesn't look human.

"We meet again, Y/N."

You blink in confusion, your brow lifting. "How do you know my name?" Then some sort of realization hits you. "Are you the reaper?! Is this how death works?" You feel slightly scared at the idea.

"No? No, no, no!" The man flails his arms in random direction. "I'm not the grim reaper or anything that'll lead you to the next life...Actually." He pauses and leans in closer to you. "That last part depends on you. Do you want another chance at life?" His amber eyes swirl with curiosity.

"Oh my God, are you a demon? Are you trying to make a contract with me?" You quickly step back from him with a glare.

"Um, no." The man pinches the bridge of his nose in annoyance. "Please stop making assumptions."

"How can I not make assumptions when you are not being very clear of what's going on right now?!"

"Right, okay. So my name is Lucian--"

"That sounds like a demons name." You interrupt.

A pillow appears in Lucian's hand and he launches it at you.

It hits your face pretty hard, you stumble backwards a little.

"As I was saying," Lucian clears his throat. "My name is Lucian and I can guide you to another world, if you want to continue living. If you don't then everyone on that little boat is going to die. That's why I'm here actually, you're currently freezing to death."

You blink, and blink, and blink.

"Well, shit." You take a deep breath. "Mia and Maou are going to die if I don't make a deal with you to take me to another world. That's supper weird, why would you do that?"

"We're not making a contract and I'm helping you because I can." Lucian smiles sadly yet fondly.

"What could possibly go wrong with allowing some stranger to take me to another world?" You sarcastically say. "Wait, what world?"

"Pick one."  A cup of sticks appears in his hand.

You give him a look.

"I'm serious." He says with a chuckle.

You huff and reach your hand out and pick a random stick. You see writing, "K project?" You mutter out loud then quickly look up at the amused red head. "Wait you're sending me to an anime?!"

"Y/N, where you are about to go, you must not change anything. If you do your chances of dying will increase by that annoying 99.99%. Also, it's best if you don't fall in love with anyone either. It'll just be harder for you in the long run." Lucian places a finger on your forehead, taping it lightly. "Good luck."

Before you can ask anything the world once again goes dark.

You wake up and slowly sit up. You rub your eyes when the sun greets you. You can smell the salty ocean water. You open your eyes fully and notice that you are no longer in the boat anymore, instead you are sitting on warm sand. Looking left to right you panic. "Maou!" You unzip your jacket and see Maou is still sleeping inside one of the  hidden pockets.

"Thank God" You whisper happily. Now that I know Maou is safe. You look over to a sleeping Mia and relax a little.

You search for your bag and find your phone. It surprisingly turns on being fully charged. You look around, again, to observe your surroundings. Something feels off. Everything looks animated but not animated. Mia yawns, finally waking up. She opens her eyes and glances around, her nose scrunches up in confusion. "What? Where?" Her eyes land on you finally and she gives you a weird look.

"Am I tripping or does everything look not real?"

"I made a deal with a demon and we're now possibly inside that one anime, K project." You bluntly tell her.

She blinks, and blinks, and blinks.

"Was he hot? Is he going to suck your soul out in two years?" Mia asks with a very serious voice.

"Priorities, Mia, priorities!" You flop back against the sand. "I made a deal with a DEMON!" You roll to the side. "And he was really nice, although he did throw a pillow at me from nothing." You quickly sit back up. "What do we do?!"

"We go into that city," Mia points at a very bright city that isn't that far. "and figure shit out from there."

"Right, okay. We got this." You nod with false confidence.

Mia and you stare wide-eyed at the sight in front of you both. Yata and Fushimi are fighting... Let me repeat. YATA AND FUSHIMI ARE FIGHTING, CHARACTERS FROM AN ANIME, AN ANIME! Forgetting about real-life problems You make eye contact with Mia and grin.

"I SHIP YATA AND FUSHIMI AS A COUPLE!!" You both yell as loud as you can and make your escape.

You bust up laughing when you hear Yata say, "Who the fuck said that?" Then Fushimi starts laughing his ass off as well.

"I'm tired. Let's look for a place to stay tonight." Mia cheers.

"We got no money bro," You tell her with a bored look.

"Mister demon dude didn't give you money?!" Mia looks at you with a look of disgust. "He transported us here without any way to actually survive?"

"Apparently not. But I do have a fully charged phone." You lift said phone.

"Wow a fully charged phone." She rolls her eyes.

Bing.

You see a notification pop up on the screen.

[You now have 211, 384, 000. 00 in your digital wallet]

Another notification pops up.

[Click on the link]

You click on the link that takes you to a map. On the map is a flower shop called Simply Pink.

"Mia, we got two million dollars and a place called Simply Pink on this fully charged phone." You look up at your cousin with a blank look.

"Holy shit."
