I pulled up the sleeves on my way to big blue graduation robe, got in the car and my mom started driving.

"Hurry up mom! I don't want to miss my own graduation!"

"Si Rita, si. I am driving as fast as I can!"

My mom was always such a safe driver. Like a snail. I looked at my watch. Ten minutes until it started! I picked up my phone and started writing to my best friend, Kiera.

11.51, May 30th

Me: Kiera!! I'm gonna be late, can you tell miss Johnsson??

Kiera❤: To your own graduation lol, she's gonna kill you.

Me: I know, but pleasseeee?

Kiera❤: Okay.

Me: Thank youuuu

"Mom! Hurry!"

"Yo intento Rita!" she yelled back.'

Finally, we were there. One minute until 12, so I hurried inside. Kiera was at the entrance waiting for me.

"Sorry, my mom was driving like a snail, again."

She laughed, then she looked sad. Suddenly I realized what she was thinking about.

"We're gonna see each other again, okay? I'm not just gonna let you go like that, I love you Kiera!" I hugged her, but we got interuppted by no one else than miss Johnson.

"Girls! No time for hugging! You're graduating in a minute!"

We let go and just looked at each other for a second. She had tears in her eyes, and so did I. Then I took her hand and ran in to Gadsden High School for the last time.

We sat down in our seats and waited.

"Angel Gomez," Ms Johnsson called out. Angel was one of our best friends, but she was very busy all the time so we weren't that close. I smiled at her as she got her paper, then applauded with Kiera and our other best friends, Jenna and Mandy. They were like me and Kiera, inseperable. There was a bunch of other names after Angel, then ms Johnsson called out:

"Rita Gonzalez!" with a bright smile on her face. I think she liked me and Kiera more than she'll ever admit. I hurried up to the stage and watched the crowd. I smiled at Kiera, Angel, Jenna and Mandy. They were shouting "Go Riri, Go Riri!" and I laughed at them. I walked up to ms Johnsson, who hugged me breifly, and whispered,

"I'm proud of you Rita." I suddenly got tears in my eyes, and looked at her. She'd been our teacher since ourr first year, she was the one who had to deal with our troublemaking, our bad grades and everything. She was the one who helped me get into Brown. I smiled at her as a tear ran down my cheek. Then i turned around to the camera and held up my paper and shouted,

"Let's go Brown!!!!"

Everyone applauded and my crew kept shouting "Go Riri, Go Riri!"

After everyone got their paper, we went to our lockers and took out the last few things. In mine, there was a picture of the five of us on our first day of school, Some pencils and a box. I turned around and shouted,

"THE TIME BOX!"

The girls looked at me as if I were crazy, but Jenna's green eyes widened and she also shouted,

"THE TIME BOX!"

I held up the box and they all understood and we sat down, right there, on the ground and opened it.
