01 : A delicate silence

•YN's POV•

" Your Majesty ! Time to get up !", said the maid with an energetic voice.

" Just 5 more minutes ...", I replied, covering my head with the pillow.

" Young lady, it's time to get up ! Today is an important day. The day of the celebration-"

" Yeah yeah the celebration of the victory against the goddess Thalia, I know!"

Someone knocked at the door.

" YN...."

I recognized the voice of my right arm, also known as the Queen of Diamonds, Nico. He sat on my bed crushing my legs at the same time.

"Nico, you're super heavy !"

" YN, I'm getting too old to wake you almost everyday. You're not the little princess anymore. Your Majesty."

I threw the pillow at him. " Don't call me like that "

"Alright, alright. "He laughed and patted my head. " it's been two years since you became the King of diamonds, right ? I still remember you reading your stupid romance novel-"

" Shut up", I punch the top of his head. I'm not a little girl anymore Nico".

" Alright, I've to check if everything's alright with the ceremony. See you later YN".

Nico left my bedroom.

I watched the landscape through my window thinking about my crowning.

Two years ago, I succeed to my grandmother as the new King of Diamonds just before she left this world.
It wasn't easy everyday, many nobles didn't like my way of thinking but I fought everyday for my dream.
As the King, I had to do many choices, for exemple, choosing my 13 generals. In the yellow territory, generals were chosen by the King, he give them a title like Ace, 13, or Queen. Many of the noble couldn't bear the fact that I chose some commoners. After all, the title of general gave you a high grade, higher than nobles.

I finished to prepare and go downstairs.

Today we celebrate the victory against Thalia, the goddess. I remember, every year, grandma used to tell me a tale.

* Flashback*

"Hey, Grandma ? Can you tell me the Story of Thalia ? " asked the little girl while the old woman was needling.

" Hmmm, it's soon the ceremony. You like this story, right ? Alright, listen my cute little bird. " she took YN on her lap. " Once upon a time, when the sky was dark, a goddess fell from the sky. Her name was Thalia. She had beautiful blue eyes and hairs."

" Was she beautifuler than me ?" Asked the little girl with puppy eyes.

" You're the most beautiful little girl in the world my little bird." The little girl chuckled then the woman continued her story." She loved the human world, everything was so green, humans were kind, everything was fine. Being thankful, she gave a present to humans, she gave them magic. Some were in humans, some were in the environment, later we called that magical crystal. One day, she met a man, he was handsome and gentle. They laughed a lot together before falling in love. They lived happily together until that day. Humans became crazy, since a minority had powers, others were jealous of them. They asked the goddess to gift them. But the goddess refused because in her body similar humans, she was too weak. So, the humans get angry, they hunted people who had powers, calling them monsters. Then, they chased after the goddess. Thalia ran , searching for her beloved's help. When she arrived at his home, she find him with a naked woman. The goddess felt, betrayed. She hated humans and love. She tried to kill every humans, but the one who were gifted by her power sealed her."
