Achilles wasn't the protagonist. He was barely even in sight of the eyes of the kingdom. The boy with the name meaning pain, a boy to be forgotten– the tragedy himself. Achilles was barely even a side character, his name was mentioned twice in the novel. Both times solely bringing up the name he bared and the horrible life he had lived– rivalling that of the golden haired princess. Two twins, two jeweled blue eyes, two fates, and yet two completely different stories. Somehow, in both stories, they became warriors in their own way, but end the same way, in death. It was ironic that Achilles was given the suffering and she was given the name of immortality. However, both became tragedies.
Achilles was given the nickname, Bluebird in irony– he was being tied down, suffering alone and the bluebird who sores high, representing good luck and prosperity for all. The two with opposite meanings– yet intertwined with fate.
