I grinned and got up to leave, I looked good. I felt good too, I had friends who were muggles and I'd spent less than a month with the Flints and they'd already welcomed me into their home. I loved them, more than I thought I could, they were family. Everything seemed crystal clear... I seemed crystal clear. I felt like I was where I was suppose to be, I was who I was suppose to be. I needed a break from the craziness, from the magic, from being Voldemort's daughter. I could just be Veronica Flint. "Come on V! We're going to be late!" I went down the stairs to find Leo standing in swim shorts and a long sleeved shirt. "Calm down Leo I'm ready." He sighed and we went out to his car. I climbed in the backseat and smiled at Leo's girlfriend. "Hey Ronnie." She said happily and buckled herself in. "Hey Alyssa." I greeted her, all three of us were going to a beach party.

I mostly hung out with my friends, Cassie and Sabella.

Cassie had black hair and grey eyes, she was my age. She was on her third beer and walking down by the water with some guy. Sabella had dyed blonde hair and hazel eyes, she was Leo's age, his girlfriend Alyssa's twin actually but she was my friend more than theirs. She was bold an I liked that. She said what she thought mixed in with some muggle cuss words... But she made me smile and was sitting laughing with me and a few more of our friends. I jumped when I felt somebody's face touch mine, "Hey Ron." He whispered gruffly in my ear and I turned to face him. "Arturo leave Ronnie alone!" Sabella laughed and punched him jokingly on the arm. I smiled, Arturo was hot; dark hair, green eyes, leather jacket. He was the towns 'bad boy'. He'd been bugging me to go out with him since he'd met me. But he was a player, the player or player really. He sat down on the log beside me handing me another beer, it wasn't really that good, butter beer was much better, but it had a way of growing on you. I took a swig and saw Sabella gaping at me then glaring at Arturo. "I didn't drug it if that's what you're thinking." She rolled her eyes but refocused on her friends. We sat there talking and drinking for a while then Arturo jumped up. "Come with me?." He said, holding out his hand. I took it and he dragged me down to the waters edge at a run.

He held my hand and watched the moon sparkle over the water. I looked over my shoulder, we were too far away to see in the dark. He grinned mischievously at me and brought his lips to mine. I felt myself being pushed backwards until I hit one of the legs of the pier above softly. His hands wrapped around my wrists and pushed my arms above my head. My shirt followed in one fluid motion before I could react. I had a bathing suit on, all was good. I still pushed away though, then I grinned and ran off towards the water. I took off my shorts and kicked them near my shirt, I hoped, then let him catch me. I put my hand on his chest then slid his shirt up and over his head. Then took off into the splashing water. "If you want me you have to come in." I saw him tug his jeans off and come in after me, a little more slowly. Obviously I wasn't going to do more than snog but we were both having a good time. When he reached me I was barely knew deep, he pressed his lips to mine. "You do know this isn't going much farther right?" I asked, skepticism in my voice. "I realize its not going any farther... tonight." He smirked and kissed me before I could protest.

"Ok it's cold, wanna go sit by the fire again?" He said, his voice shivering slightly, I nodded and we threw on our clothes over our bathing suits as we walked back up to the bonfire. Leo and Alyssa were sitting there snogging now and Arturo grimaced, "This could get awkward, Leo's my best friend. Wanna go get coffee instead?" I paused, "Come on, Ronnie. Summers almost over and then you leave. Just give me a chance." I sighed and walked to his motorbike. By chance Leo had worn his leather jacket tonight, he rode a motorbike too, so I just grabbed it from the car. It was big but it worked.

It was almost two am on a Saturday night and there were lots of parties going on in town. Arturo didn't have a stop sign so he kept on going but the guy going the other way did have a stop sign, he was driving fast and tried to stop but couldn't in time. I felt it in my leg first, the truck hitting into my leg and I went flying. I opened my eyes and cast a cushioning jinx towards Arturo who still landed hard. Then I looked too late and saw the ground in front of me. I didn't have time. I just remember rolling across the road. Then pain. A car door slamming, "Are you okay!? Oh god!" A mans voice calling an ambulance. Then, right before I blacked out... A flash of something terrible. The future.
