"You're crying..." Nezu was heartbroken to see a young child before him unconsciously breakdown. He understood on a certain degree but he is an adult and has lived with the memories and conquered them but this girl in front of him just found out that all her relatives have died in a single night without a single goodbye.
I touched my cheeks and wet salted streams were running down my face. I have never cried before...I'm not emotionless; I just never had a reason to, so when I was crying now I felt vulnerable and weak. Not weak because I was crying, but weak because I have never cried. I quickly rubbed away my tears and put on a stoned face...there was still more to the story.
"..." Nezu was disturbed to say the least...She only shed a few tears but with what came out of her mouth next made her actions seem...justifiable.
"Right...This brings us to the reason why I said all of this in the first place. You are obviously a part of the clan; you were Alfred's and Celine's daughter, their heir. We thought that you all perished on that night but it seemed like you parents where always one step ahead for your safety." Nezu chuckled, reminiscing a memory with a sad smile. He then looked at me with a flicker of happiness.
"But to think that you are here in front of me and now attending this school...your parents where always ambitious, brave and quick witted. It seems you inherited those parts of them." Not once did Nezu smile truly like now, as if all his happiness and relief manifested into a smile.
I looked at him with widened eyes then they slowly closed and a breath I didn't realise I was holding was let out. I had a family. They sacrificed themselves for me and now I get to live another day because of them.
"You know, you resemble both your parents. When we first met, I thought you looked familiar but I obviously didn't see you before. Your parents never said anything about a baby so they must have known something was wrong." Nezu got off the couch and sat next to me then jumped onto my shoulder. He gently put a paw on top of my head.
"You are alive and well like your parents wanted you to be...so live. Live and become something that you would have never expected you would have become..."
"...Live...can I really, after my whole clan was massacred by some rat..." I sighed then looked at Nezu who seemed sad. "Thank you for telling me this...it has helped me know more about myself and my past."
"When were you born might I ask?" Nezu was confused for multiple reasons. He didn't know whether she was born before the massacre by a week or so or whether she was already born years ago but left.
"I lost my memories, when I woke up I was six and in an abandoned shed far away from here. I had to survive on my own and when I finally got enough money I came here because I overheard these people talking about a hero school so I came."
Nezu was baffled at how that happened and how I managed to do so. Nezu opened his mouth to speak but the door opened and in came All Might with no Aizawa in site.
"Did you tell her everything? Is she the one?" All Might asked anxiously.
Nezu simple gave him a sad smile and nodded. All Might then walked towards me and hugged me. I was wrapped up in the No.1 heroes arms as he repeatedly apologised to me...so I could only do the one thing I was capable of and hugged him back which seemed to make him freeze for a moment.
"Thank you All Might for everything you've done...You may be the No.1 Hero but you are still human...It's not your fault...you did your best right?" His arms slowly relaxed as if agreeing with what I said "Then that is enough for me and them..." He let go and took a few steps back then blushed slightly at what he did.
I gave him a small smile then looked at Nezu "When does school start again?"
"Oh, it starts next week so you only have the weekend left...why?"
I hummed then looked up at the ceiling "2 days left huh?...okay well might as well train a bit more" Nezu and All Might seemed to revert back to their old selves and smiled at the girl in front of them.
"There is still one more person that I need to talk to so if you will excuse me..." I walked to the door before tuning to look at them and giving them a genuine grin.
"Thank you, and as always it's a pleasure working with you." I disappeared, leaving the two men to their own thoughts.
