Cierra awoke to the sound of metal clanking. She sat up, and looked around. She saw that the boy who had found her dropped a metal frying pan. Luckily, it didn't have anything in it. Cierra stood and made her way to him, yawning. "Hey... Whaddya doing?" Cierra said.
"Making breakfast. I never fully wake up until I've had a pancake or two. Would you like one?" He replied.
"What in the world is a pancake?" Cierra replied, clueless about what these things actually were. 'These people are weird...' She thought.
"You don't know what a pancake is?! Where have you been, sleeping under a rock? They're those little round things that are fluffy and you put maple syrup on them."
"What the heck is maple syrup?!"
"You have got to be kidding me! You don't know what SYRUP is either?! Where have you been?"
"I dunno. In a place with a lot of green things with sticks on 'em."
"You mean trees?"
"Yeah! Those!"
The boy facepalmed, and stared at Cierra, shaking his head lightly. He then put the pancakes on the stove and poured Pancake Mix into it. "So... About you saying I wasn't the only one with powers..." Cierra said, breaking the silence. "Hm? Oh, yeah. I'm one of those people as well. I use the Sky type, and you use fire. We were raised by creatures known as dragons. There were only eight, and the dragon that taught me was named Bynthiast. The one that thought you was named Igneous, if I recall correctly." The boy rambled on and on from there, and Cierra zoned out. She was lost in thought. 'Igneous? Was that his name? And... A dragon? I've never heard of one of those before, even if it is my father... Well, I guess I know what this means. I gotta go find him...'
