"Just push forward and don't look back. Run."

Y/n was roaming about in her family's castle. She had just finished her piano lessons and was looking for something else to do. Maybe she could go out and watch the snow fall again. "Your highness, it's too cold to be out here!" One of her maids yelled rushing to cover her with a long red hooded cloak. "You don't have to baby me, I'll be fine. I'm just heading to the garden anyways."
"Alright but please do not stay outside past 5. The King and Queen will be waiting for your return." My parents will be waiting for me? Y/n thought. She had barely seen her parents these past few months. They've been focused on a war that was getting closer and closer to their lands. Her father had become more bitter and her mother would always go on expeditions.
They didn't even celebrate her birthday like they used to before. She had just spent her day reading, something she despised with a passion. How could someone ever like staring at words all day? Letting out a small sigh, y/n shook off all her worries and finally stepped on the fluffy snow.
The crunch of the snow from her boots made her smile. Why would you ever want to be indoors when a beautiful forest full of snow was your backyard? Not only that but, the guards and soldiers would also be roaming about in their own camps. Something about them seemed so interesting. This was the only time she could even get close to their camps. And she always made sure to at least catch a glimpse of them.
Her excitement grew, as she rushed into the forest. She would most definitely get in trouble but it was worth it. The yelling and outline of soldiers could be heard from a distance as she got closer and closer. Some of them were practicing archery, while others sat and ate food. They were even running around throwing snowballs at each other, which made her laugh. They looked like little kids and that kept her entertained for quite some time.
"You don't belong here do you princess?" A monotone voice whispered into y/n's right ear. She flinched and turned around quickly to see a man with a similar red colored cloak as her. His hair was a soft pink and was even longer than hers. Not only that but his red eyes looked like they could see through her deepest parts. "Who are you?" She whispered back concerned that someone had caught her in a place she did not belong. "I'm the head of the army, but you wouldn't know that since you're always playing piano in your castle. Anyway this is not a place for a lady of such high ranking to be seen."
"You've heard me play before?" She questioned. "Once or twice while I patrolled the castle with my men. This shouldn't matter though, Princess you must head back to the castle before I tell the king you've been coming to see the soldiers."
"Pardon?"
"You heard me, I won't hesitate to tell the King how many times I've seen you sneak out of the garden and come see my men. What'll it be, princess?" He smirked at her reaction.
"I haven't snuck here that many times. And you wouldn't dare tell my father, he would lock me in my room!"
"What makes you think I wouldn't?"
"I trust you won't."
"How can you trust someone you just meet?" He placed a mask on himself that covered his entire face. It almost terrified y/n. "For your own sake I hope you were just joking. You shouldn't trust people that easily."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You'll know sooner or later."
"And what do you mean by that?"
"Give it some time and you'll know what I mean, is what I meant."
All these answers annoyed y/n. Why couldn't he just get to the point? This was almost like reading those poems her mother gave her to read. "You can't just do that!"
"Princess I'm sorry but I can't say more than that," He grabbed her shoulders with his large hands, clearly marked with scars from countless battles, and turned her towards the direction of the castle. "Please just head back home, I heard your highnesses are waiting for you."
They were already waiting for her? Was she really out for that long. "This conversation isn't over!" She yelled at him making a run back home. As she ran she couldn't stop thinking of the man with the long pink hair. What did he mean exactly? And why was he dressed in such a way?
Once she got closer to the castle she saw someone waiting outside but couldn't make out who it was.
"My lady, where were you?" Her maid yelled a fear in her eyes so intense y/n had to ask her what was wrong. "Please hurry, we have to get inside, danger has been spotted by soldiers and we need to keep you safe."
"Danger? What about my parents then? Where are they?"
"They're safe with 20 soldiers guarding their door. You don't have to worry about them." She answered, leading her into the castle where her parents were.
Looking around as she walked, the once peaceful setting she had seen was now filled with guards rushing around the castle.
"In here. Your majesty I brought-'' There he was. With his red cloak, holding a knife against her fathers throat.
"Princess, I'm so sorry we had to meet in this situation. Please take a seat next to your parents."
"Y/n, run, as far as possible and don't look back." Her mother spoke. "Are you really going to make me chase my food?" The same monotone voice spoke from earlier.
"I suppose a chase would be much more entertaining than having you willingly surrender to me." Was he really insisting her to run.
"For the last time what do you want?" The king yelled angrily. "You shouldn't be talking to me that way, I'm the one with the knife."
"But if you insist on knowing, what I want is your daughter."
"Me?"
"Yes. You."
"Go, your highness. Just push forward and don't look back. Run." Her maid shoved y/n and urged her to start running. It would be stupid of her to not run but did she really want to leave her family behind? "I can't just go!"
"For god's sake just go! Guards follow her and make sure she's safe!" Her mother yelled.
Turning around y/n ran through the halls. Hoping, begging, that she would at least make it out alive.
"This is going to be fun." Technoblade smirked. "I'll give them a head start. While they're running why don't the three of us have a little talk."
