"From the negative feelings you'll appear, these emotions give birth to a rare siren. A male siren born from darkness.
Keep your voice safe, and your magic on low, because after all,
A siren's most powerful magic is their singing and ability to lure, but this magic, once locked, strips them down to nothing but lower than merfolk."
The dark tendrils floating in the sea had turned everything they touched into a dark purple and black color, they wrapped around every living thing and drained their energy.
Many were withered, and many were starting to turn dark, a grey color you wouldn't see on the living.
With one swift change in current, they gathered. Formed a sphere and combined, finally letting go of the marine life. The cold of the sea, of the water started to rise, the chilled cold water was now inside, and after a few minutes, a dark red light flashed but faded within seconds.
Most of the darkness faded, and a child appeared on the cold sand. He blinked his blue big innocent eyes, and looked around with confusion.
"Born from the hatred of the prince, you shall receive his attributes," the voice continued, and the boy swam I straight, and glanced behind him in confusion, "and you shall look like him, for this is also a curse."
"A curse?" He asked in a soft whisper with a tilt of his head, his now black hair and eyes red, "to me?"
The voice continued to talk, seemingly ignoring the boy.
"Your name is now Vanitas, and your gift, is your voice and light magic..."
The dark tendrils gathered in front of him, and he curiously inched closer, with a sparkle in his childish eyes. They moved so lifelike, like a pet to its owner, making Vanitas giggle. There was a moment of silence and a stop in movement, before they wrapped around his wrist and disappeared into his throat.
He gasped and his hands went to his throat with wide eyes, and opened his mouth slightly, "what was that...?"
Once again he didn't get an answer, but he did see a small glint buried into the sand. Curiosity got the better of him, and he swam towards it. As soon as he moved, the waves passed over his tail, slowly turning it to a dark navy black, shiny glowing accent scales were a bright red.
"This will be your magic."
Vanitas gently picked it up with a small smile, and watched it disappear into his hands.
"I promise to be the best siren!" He exclaimed, swimming to the surface, and gazed onto the shore. "A very good one."
"Very well, young child. Your age is 10, each year you'll age and you'll get stronger. Before I leave, I'll teach you two last things. Sing and control."
Vanitas dove back underwater, and listened carefully before using his magic to revive the plants. They slowly regain life, and turned into a bright color.
"As for your voice, it's used to lure people into doing your bidding, so use it carefully."
"Got it! I'll never use it for bad...!"

The cool night was filled with a beautiful singing voice, a high pitch alluring sound, a warm and welcoming tone.
The few people on the shore stopped for a few moments before turning to the sea and walking into the cold water without a flinch.
Vanitas smirked in his song, and gradually made his voice louder to fully hypnotize them but a hand reached out from under the water and grabbed his hand.
He slipped and grazed his cheek against the sharp rock and hissed in pain after being under the surface. That broke the spell the humans were being put under, and a confused chatter started as they ran from the water.
Vanitas snatched his hand back, and glared at the other, which was the well known sea witch, Ansem.
"Stop playing around, we have more people in need of your excellent potion making help."
Vanitas nodded without a word, but little did he know, that was the say he'd lose both his light magic and his singing voice.
