Sky's heart skipped a beat as he watched Twilight and Hyrule blown off the side of the cliff and into the gorge. He wasted no time and dove after them.
The air whipped at his face as he dropped past the two with practiced skill.
When the time was right, he opened his sailcloth. There was a slight jolt as the air was caught in the fabric and his velocity abruptly slowed.
Sky felt strong arms wrap around his legs and a flare of pain shoot through them with the added weight. He bit back a cry as his legs were probably dislocated.
He glanced down to find Twilight and Hyrule clinging to him and each other for dear life.
"At least I caught them." He thought as a bead of sweat rolled down his temple as his arms shook with the effort. "And I thought supporting one person hurt."
Suddenly, Sky remembered how quickly he and Groose fell to the surface that day. In a frantic scan of his surroundings, he spotted a river below them rapidly approaching.
"It's probably better than landing on the rocks," Sky decided as he swiftly aimed them toward the water.
The roar of water filled his ears as they connected and his vision went white as pain spiked through his knees. Then it was dark.
Twilight floundered to the surface of the the water. He struggled with the weight of his chainmail dragging him down and the pull of the current. He growled in frustration before giving into the flow of the river.
"I'll let it push me to the bank. It'll be easier to get out that way." He paddled his way over and slowly dragging himself ashore.
He peeled off his heavy tunic and mail with a sigh of relief at the lack of extra weight.
"Why did I have to leave my zora armor camp?" Twilight asked himself as he shook the water off.
"Wait... the others! Oh Farore!" He raced to the water's edge. He scanned the rapids with a hand running through his damp hair, his face markings on full display.
His breath left him as a mop of brown hair entered his vision.
"HYRULE!" Twilight yelled in an attempt to gain his attention.
The brunet swam in his direction and trudged ashore in a similar fashion as Twilight had done.
Hyrule embraced the older boy who had come running to him from further up the river.
"Hey, Twi." He greeted softly.
"Hey, Rule," the rancher replied. "Did you see Sky?"
Hyrule pulled away lifting a white cloth so the other could see.
"No, but I found his sailcloth." He glanced up at Twilight with worry-filled brown eyes.
He watched as the other hero's eyebrows furrowed with probably the same feeling he had.
"You search upstream. I'll search downstream. Holler if you see him."
Hyrule nodded and sprinted that direction.
He continued on until a flash of green caught his eye. He ran to the edge of the river to get a better glimpse.
"Sky!?" he called out.
Sky's head came into his view. Hyrule examined him from afar.
"He's clinging to a rock. He must have been hurt. From my recollection he is a good swimmer." He thought, worry increasing.
