The Artificer Who Fixed The Scissorhands

Old Tale

There is an old Tale that many know of. It starts with a man who has scissors for hands, his name was Edward. And before it snowed, there was an inventor. This inventor lived on the mansion that looked over the town, on top of the mountain.

He made a lot of things, some suppose. Though he also made a man. He gave him insides, a heart, a brain, everything. Nobody knows how, but he did. He had just about finished covering him over with a delicate plastic that was exactly like skin, he only had the hands to go.

But with unfortunate luck, when the inventor died, what he should've invented was a new heart for himself.

The man he created couldn't help. He tried to hold the inventor and he couldn't even do that because he still had long shears for hands. And so, he was all alone afterwards.

And that is where his origins are rooted.

Though after a large amount of years, Edward took care of the garden bushes. Trimming them to beauty and grace with every snip of his scissorhands.

One day, although sunny below, came a saleswoman who sold makeup. She entered the then torn down mansion calling out, "Avon Calling!" With pure cheer and determination.

Though once she found the man with scissors for hands, she took a few steps back believing that this man was now angered. Though scared and confused she heard his voice call out in soft, "Please don't go." And so the woman didn't leave, she acknowledged how kind this being was.

As days went by after the Avon lady taking him in, the man began to become popular within the town, being seen as a kind person rather than a being with sharp hands. Though, he was hated by one single woman, one of religion, spewing words that he will cause trouble and was sent from the depths below.

Edward. He was known well but soon, all went down hill as a girl she loved became trouble, leading to the so called end of his life and the girl's once former boyfriend. By the end of that night, he was no longer alive to the people in the town.
