Mother Cyborg

Chapter 1

It's a lovely day in New York City. The planet hasn't changed too much. There isn't that much new things except for some new achievements in humanity. Hover cars have started to obtain support, the first human on mars mission has been launched by NASA, and most illnesses are now cured. Humanity is getting bigger and more advanced by the minute, but we haven't started to get the world pollution problem to go away. Anyway, back to the story.

Julia wakes up in her apartment ready for the day. She gets dressed and heads down stairs to the kitchen. She grabs the last plate in her cupboard and cooks some scrambled eggs. She eats the scrambled eggs and heads to the bathroom to clean up herself.
"I am ready for this" said Julia.
"I hope I have time to call into Mama's Place tonight." 

She walks towards the front door and gets a call from a unknown number. She answers the call and Doctor Jorge talks.
"Hey Julia" said Jorge.
"Hey!"
"I hope you know about the situation, am I right?" said Jorge.
"What do you mean by situation?" wondered Julia.
"Your neighbors found your mother lying on the floor of her house."
"Is she okay?"
"I am afraid that she is on her last day" said Jorge.
"I will come over quickly" said Julia. She calls her boss and says that she can't go to work today. She puts her phone away and exits through the front door.

The light blinds her through her glasses, she finds her way to her bike and rides off in a hurry. When she got to the General Hospital, she thought she was too late. She entered the hospital and went to the front desk.
"Hello, what do you need help with today?" said the desk lady.
"Doctor Jorge called me and said my mother was living her last day."
"I will send you through to his office."
"But I need to see my mother."
"Sadly, I can't let you inside the surgery room."
"Can I atleast look?"
"You can look on the way through to his office," said the desk lady.
"Thank you!"

She walks down the corridor, she walks past lots of offices and medical bays. She reached his office and stepped inside. He was looking at his computer and filling out his paperwork.
"Doctor Jorge!" said Julia.
"Julia." said Jorge.
"Where is she?" wondered Julia.
"Mandy is in her hospital bed resting."
"What happened to her?"

"She had a great fall and cracked her skull. It seems like the skull is partially intact. But within the next 24 hours, she will have her last breath and the skull will break."
"What can we do?" said Julia
"There is nothing we can do." said Jorge.
"Please, there has to be something."
"I am sorry."
Julia gives a depressed look on her face and falls to a seat.
"Are you alright?" said Jorge.
"What do you think?!" said Julia.
"Can you wait here while I go check on her?" Julia nods and looks at the pamphlet on his desk.

After 10 minutes, he comes back.
"You can come see her now."
Julia rushes to her mother's room and sees her on the hospital bed. He skin is ver pale and lots of things are sticking out of her head.
"Mom?" cried Julia.
"Come here... Darling.."
Julia walks over to the bed and sits on a chair next to her mother.
"You have been a great daughter to me Julia, I couldn't ask for anything more." said Mandy.
"I don't want you to die, I will be so depressed."
"This is the way it has to be, there is nothing we can do about it."
Julia starts dropping tears. They hug each other until she stops dropping tears.

"I don't want to be a bad person but it is time for her to rest." said Jorge.
Julia walks out of the room crying tears.
"Please Jorge, can you make her last longer?"
"As I said, there is nothing that I..."
"Actually, there is something I could do." said Jorge.
"What is it?" wondered Julia.
"Your mother can live on if she is in the C.T.P."
"What is that?" asked Julia.
"The Cyborg Transform Program, it is a experimental procedure that can turn any human into a robot or Cyborg."
"How does it work?"
"Her mind is turned into a digital one and then transferred to a robot body where she can do anything as a human but more efficient."
"I would pay anything for that. I don't want to lose my mom" said Julia.
"I will ask for the payment after the procedure." said Jorge.
