Going back to the first chapter, pausing right before the blonde ran out, and then pressing play on our story.

The blonde ran out leaving the door open, and hugging the mint-haired male tightly, he looked down at her, smiling softly at her through her tears. She hugged him even tighter.

"Please ... You- you don't have to go yet. You can stay- stay with us- with me. Please." The blonde-haired female practically begged, the mint-haired male sighed and pressed his forehead to hers before pulling away from the hug and kissing her on the forehead.

"I'm afraid it's not that simple, you'll learn, with time. Why I did what I did." Then he got up and continued to walk away, he didn't wait because he knew no one was going to come with him.

They would take care of each other that much he was sure of, and he would take care of himself, doing everything that he could to figure out what went wrong, when everything was supposed to go right. They had planned everything just so, just right, nothing should have gone wrong.

Everything had been perfect, even by his standards he couldn't find a flaw in the plan.

So that left one option.

A rat.

A mole.

Someone had leaked the Intel of the plan and made sure for it to go wrong.

He intended by leaving, that he would find out who it was, and how the Intel was leaked so smoothly without even him noticing the transaction. Of course, he needed to figure out the motive as well.

He just needed time alone to himself, plus the mood accompanied by the fact his work might be sabotaged was just not going to work out had he stayed.

The mint haired male stopped, hearing his name being yelled over and over again. He turned around to see the blonde running towards him, he softly melted a bit.

He could say he expected this, but this wasn't who he had truly wanted to come running. He knew her feelings for him, as sweet as they were, she was more of a sister to him then anything. Still, he opened his arms and wrapped them around her tightly, now he could protect her at the very least.

He knew there was no way she could be the mole, so he welcomed her presence with him.

He would have been lonely otherwise though he was loathed to admit it to anyone other then himself. Once they had themselves gathered together he walked away with her into the night, and to a safe place, only him and one other person knew about.

He knew the other person wouldn't come without him, so he was temporarily safe, but they might come here to seek him out so he wasn't 100% sure.

Contradictory right?

They wouldn't come here without him but they would come here in search of him.

He never understood that.

He moved to turn on the lights, moving to shut all the curtains in the house.

He turned to the blonde, "Hey, would you mind going upstairs and shutting all the curtains?"

She nodded, going towards the stairs to shut all the curtains. They had to make sure barely anyone knew they were here, the fewer people knew the better. No one wanted this lot either so they should be fine in terms of selling and buying it.

He pulled off the tarp that covered the lights, spreading dust everywhere into the room. He fanned it out coughing a bit from all the dust. He moved towards the back door, throwing the tarp out back before going back inside shutting the door behind him.

He let out a sigh, taking another tarp off of a table and throwing that in the back as well, he would need to get rid of them so that it wouldn't be suspicious that someone had taken off the tarps. He set down the gear inside of the house on the table.

He opened the bag and started taking some of it out before he heard a crash upstairs. He stopped setting gear down and grabbed a small metal cylinder with a small black button on it. His thumb stayed trigger-ready should he need to press. He slowly stalked up the stairs, careful not to creak them.

He looked around and all the curtains were closed, save for one, and the window was open. There was a notecard on the floor face down. He moved over to the window and looked out of it. He saw a figure in the far distance, staring him down. He couldn't see who it was from the distance, and then they disappeared within a blink.

He frowned, moving to shut the window. He leaned down and picked up the note card flipping it to face him.

'and then there were three'

And then there were three? What did that mean? There should at least be four between him and the leftover people.

Unless.....

They couldn't have..

Okay, he needs to not think that. As much as he would like to believe it, there was a mole and that mole could get in and out of that place within a snap.

He had just left and now he had to go back.

Oh goodie.

He sighed as he slipped the notecard in his pocket and kept his finger over the button as he made his way downstairs, he then noticed his gear looked....shinny.

He muttered something under his breath jogging over, and it was all wet.

Every single piece of tech besides his phone and the piece of tech he grabbed to defend himself.

They must have done it while he had been distracted by the notecard.

So the "enemy" was smart.

He just didn't know how much so they were.

He grabbed the gear and threw it carefully onto the tarps after dragging the tarps inside.

He grabbed a lighter from the house and drenched the stuff in lighter fluid, after grabbing a new bag full of stuff from the house he turned the lighter on and dropped it into the pile watching it burn before leaving, throwing a hood over his head and leaving.

He just hoped his assumption wasn't correct.
