Neviah was convinced she was cursed. While most fairies would be jealous of the amount of power Neviah has, it was more of a burden for the young fairy. Plagued with visions of the future was not particularly fun, especially if the visions happen to be full of destruction. Neviah was stocked up on enough visions to give her nightmares for the rest of her life. Although, perhaps that's the price of coming from such a strong family line. Neviah's great great great grandmother being Minerva, one of the very powerful Nymphs of Magix.
Being a descendent of a Nymph of Magix came with a lot of unwanted attention and a lot of unwanted powers. Which is exactly why the young girl was so nervous to start her first year at Alfea. Not only will everyone be watching her but they'll be expecting her to be great and Neviah would rather not deal with the humiliation once they realise she's just another fairy with powers she can't control.
