-Well, if it isn't the cutest boy in the school. -you say as soon as you step out of Transfiguration class. The tall, brunette boy, with the most intoxicating smile, was leaning by the wall, patiently waiting. Cedric Diggory.

-Good morning, my dearest lady. -he bows and you laugh, bowing too- Ready for potions class?

-I look forward to these classes. There is a certain boy in that class that is just... soooo dreamy! -you fake a hopeless romantic tone of voice and sigh, making him laugh.

-Can I carry your books? -he asks, and you look at him sweetly.

-Oh, Ced, there's no need, really.

-Please, I insist. -he shoots you a pleading look, and you nod, giving in.

-Fine, if it means that much to you. Thanks, cutie. -you boop the tip of his nose, and he smiles.

-It does mean that much. I like to treat you the best way possible. Such a great potions partner deserves it. -you blush slightly, making him blush. You both look away, walking side by side.

As you passed through the halls, nearly every student would shoot at least one curious look at you both. You and Cedric had been a great subject for gossip for the last few months; many thought you were dating, others thought you were secretly (well, not so secretly) hooking up. And the rest was just waiting for one of you to take the lead and confess your love for the other.

You could not deny - Cedric Diggory was able to make you blush like nobody else. Yes, a little crush, maybe? You'd indeed spent some nights awake thinking about him, and that just by imagining him smile your stomach filled with butterflies. But love? No. Cedric was just a very good friend.

-So, what are your plans for the winter break? -he suddenly asked, scaring you off of your thoughts.

-Oh, I'm going to the Burrow with Hermione, Ron, and Harry. Molly has been inviting me for ages, and my parents finally let me go.

-Wow, that seems really nice!

-And you? Any plans? -you turned to face him as you walked, and for a moment your eyes met. You could feel the butterflies in your stomach but decided to ignore them. Or at least, tried to.

-I'm going to a quidditch tournament with my dad. We do this every year, it's become a tradition at this point.

-Hey, that sounds really fun!

-Yeah, it is. -he stopped by the dark door of the potions class and opened it for you- Ladies first.

Ass you passed through him, his strong scent took over your senses; a mixture of cologne and the smell of new books. He smelt like home.

Trying to compose yourself, you turned to get a book on the bookshelf. He stopped next to you, but you both went for the same book, touching hands:

-Ops! -both said at the same time, making you laugh.

-I'm sorry, you can get it. -he said, backing down. You took the book and smiled, gesturing it to him.

-Here, it is the least I can do after you carried my books all the way over here.

He played with his hair, nervous. Shyly took the book, and shrugged his shoulders:

-Thanks. And about carrying your books, it is really nothing. I really enjoy our walks together, and that seems like the easiest way to show you how much those little chats make my day better.

You smiled at him, not finding the words to answer. You wanted to tell him that you felt the same; those little chats you had while walking to classes were very important and good for you. But nothing came out of your mouth as you opened it to speak. All you could do was focus on those beautiful eyes. And that smile...
