"Have you seen Luna?" I had been asking around for her since 10 minutes ago because I hadn't seen her.

We were in the middle of a battle. What if Luna was hurt? What if a death eater got to her? I would never forgive myself if I let something happen to my baby sister.

"Lovegood! Are you okay?" I heard a deeper voice call from behind me and I saw Blaise, Draco, and Pansy behind me.

I had never been friends with Pansy, and I never really understood why, but Draco and Blaise were my best friends since 1st year.

"Oh Merlin you scared half the life out of me, have you seen Luna? I'm about to go check the great hall."

"That's not a good idea, Nora." Draco said, which concerned me, so I quickly turned around and ran towards there.

I walked in and looked around and saw Luna bending over and- sobbing? I quickly ran over to her and realized what she was kneeling over. My father was laid on the ground and he looked pale and his eyes were closed. I immediately knew what happened. I had seen the same look on my mother so long ago.

"L-Luna." I choked on my words and felt tears running down my face as she turned around to look at me before looking back at our father.

I went into a trance and stopped myself from looking at anything but my hands. I had a ring on my right ring finger. The ring my father gave me on my 16th birthday. He made it himself. It was made of silver and had a light blue, transparent crystal in the middle. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see Draco standing there. He always had felt like a brother to me, no matter what. My father and Luna always invited him to stay over at our house, mostly because his father abused him a lot.

"Nora-" Pansy had sounded worried for me, which was a bit strange to say the least, as I rushed out of the Great Hall and ran to the Slytherin common room as fast as I could.

I was running as fast as I could and I was almost to the dungeons before I fell over on my knees from exhaustion and I laid against a wall to cry it out. I hugged my knees and banged the back if my head against the brick wall whilst sobbing before I saw Pansy run around the corner.

"What do you want Parkinson? Are you here to make my life worse? I don't even know if that's possible anymore." I said this but kept stuttering and shaking due to shock, and I felt cold.

"Not necessarily, Lovegood." She sat next to me and pulled me into a hug and I sobbed into her shoulder while she rubbed my back, even though I didn't understand why she'd be nice to me.

Why are you doing this? Why are you being nice to her? You know what mum and dad said, purebloods only.

I just couldn't listen to myself in the moment. It hurt me to see her like this. I had never had feelings for somebody before. No, it's not feelings. I think. Her hair smelled of strawberries, vanilla, and honey.

Merlin you love her scent so much.

It's intoxicating.

And her touch is making you crave more-

I tried to stop myself for thinking this. No, she's a half-blood and a ravenclaw. You can't associate with her, you just can't.

You turned 18 three days ago, Pansy. Just do it. Tell her how much you've liked her since you were 11.

Once I get my own living space, I will. I can't handle my mum and dad's screaming again.

"Why are you being nice to me?" She spoke softly which startled me out of my thoughts.

"I-" I stopped, took a deep breath, and sighed, "I'm not sure." and she pulled her head off of my shoulder and looked at me, eyes red and puffy.

"Well, I've messed your shirt up, and I'm a bloody mess, I'll just go and leave you alone." And I stood up right after her as she walked into the Slytherin common room, most likely to the extra bed that Blaise, Draco, and I had, before I could object.

I rubbed my face with my hands and covered my mouth, thoughtless for a second, until Blaise and Draco walked around the corner.

"What happened, Miss Pansy Blush-ington?" Blaise smirked and crossed his arms, and Draco laughed.

"Nothing, nitwit, you really think I'd drop it on her right after her dad's died? Your a lunatic." I shoved them a bit and we all walked into our dorm, and she was asleep in the extra bed, her hair damp from her shower, and it smelled of her.

Fuck.

We all got changed and laid in the other beds. We were absolutely exhausted.

I woke up in my dorm bed. It had been a few months since the war and, honestly, I felt loads better. I started dressing like I normally did, instead of sweats and messy hair. I fixed my blankets on my bed and walked over to my dresser to pick out my outfit. Today I chose a high-waisted, sky blue skirt with white polka dots that went to my mid-thigh, a white button up with my ravenclaw tie, and matching sneakers. I also straightened my hair and tied it half up, half down, with a blue ribbon tying it up, which matched the rest of my outfit. I grabbed my bag and ran down to the Great Hall, to notice there were 5 people in there.

How early are you?

Luna at the Ravenclaw table, a boy at the Gryffindor table, and Pansy sitting across from Blaise and Draco. I rushed over to them and sat my bag on the bench, sitting next to Pansy, whose eyes were glued to my thighs. Shortly after I sat down Blaise and Draco started a conversation up together and I felt Pansy looking at me again.

"Take a picture, it might last longer, Parkinson." I stated while pulling my reading book out of my bag.

"I'm not staring at you, and what are you reading?" She sounded interested.

"Well it's about-" I felt her ring covered hand on my upper-thigh.

"Are you okay, Lovegood?" She smirked at me.

"Just uh- fine." My breathing quickened and my timetable was thrown in front of me by Mcgonagall, as well as Pansy's.

First I had Potions,

Then Free Period,

Lunch,

Defense Against The Dark Arts,

And Herbology.

Pansy looked over at my schedule and slid her hand higher up my thigh and started playing with my skirt hem.

I looked at her schedule which was the same as mine, except she had Astronomy instead of Herbology.

I pushed her hand off my thigh and grabbed my stuff.

"I'll see you guys in Potions, yeah?" and walked out of the Great Hall.

Pansy doesn't like you.

She was just being friendly.

Don't get your hopes up.

You're just Nora Lovegood.

▪︎ pansys pov ▪︎

Shit, she must've hated that.

You weren't trying to be awkward.

She doesnt like you, dumbass.

You're just Pansy Parkinson.
