Alec showed me to my room and knocked for me. I was a little nervous to meet my roommate. What if she didn't like me? What if I didn't like her? Alec was looking down at me and smirking. He knew I was nervous.
"Gotta go!" He told me and flaunted down the hall. Before he turned around the corner he grinned and did a slightly visible wink. I narrowed my eyes at him then faced the door. I knocked again, quietly not wanting my roommate to get mad at me.
"I'm coming! Hold your horses!" a muffled voice called from inside the room. I smiled and took a deep breath while the door opened revealing a girl a few inches taller than me with a soft blonde coloured hair down to her waist and sky blue eyes. She looked confused for a while then a smile crossed her features. I held a hand out to her.
"I'm Madeline Fray." I introduced myself a little nervous still. She was very pretty. Her slightly tanned skin against her soft blonde hair, she had all black on like Alec had, tight black leather pants, a fitted black tank top with a zippered hoodie. She looked a bit tired but her face was plastered with a grin once I said my name.
"Hey! You must be my new roommate! I'm Sharlet Cooper, it's nice to meet you. I'm really excited to get a roommate finally." She gushed out fast. I bit my lip and waited for her to let me in. she stepped aside and I walked in. The room was a turquoise colour and had paintings on the walls. There were two desks at the far wall in front of the large window. Both beds were doubles and had lime green quilt covers. All the wood was a soft light colour. In other words my new room was beautiful. I had no belongings. I decided to start fresh and buy all new things.
"This is beautiful!" I breathed. I glanced over to Sharlet and she was biting her lip. She sighed in relief at my comment.
"Thanks! I've been working on it awhile and figured I should get it done before you get here. I finished two days ago." She smiled. There was a narrow hallway and a cracked open door at the end which I guess was the bathroom.
"Um, I need to go out shopping and stuff. I only have a few clothes." I told her still staring around the room.
"Okay! Can I come with you? Mr Wills doesn't let us go out often but if I'm with you... he might." She asked hopeful. I turned to her and grinned wider.
"Absolutely!" I nearly shouted. She laughed.
"You know, you're really short." She observed. I sighed dramatically.
"I get that a lot." I frowned.
"Sorry." She apologised quickly. I shook my head at her.
"Let's go." I said and she nodded whizzing around the room getting ready. I sat on the edge of the neat bed which I was guessing was mine. It was so squishy and comfy. I closed my eyes and leaned back. I heard a cough. I bolted up and saw Sharlet standing there in front of me smiling amused. I sighed and held my hand out for her to take. She stared at it for about a minute before grabbing it and pulling me into a standing position.
We walked out the room and Sharlet locked it before we headed down the hall. I didn't have much of an idea to where I was going so I just followed Sharlet to the Boss's office. Sharlet told me his name was Enio Lien. What a strange name, I mused. We finally got to his office and Sharlet swung it open without even knocking. There was a super buff man in his late twenties with tanned skin and black shaggy hair with grey eyes. He was reading a newspaper by the look of it. He pulled his eyes away from it then grinned wide.
"You must be Madeline!" He said excited. I smiled politely at him.
"Call me Mimi, Sir." I grinned back.
"Call me Enio, Mimi." He replied. I shook my head and looked down. I nearly forgot Sharlet standing next to me. I looked up at her. She looked deep in thought. I flicked my finger in front of her eyes and she blinked. I smiled then turned back to Enio.
