Rise and shine

**Y/Ns POV**

I wake up to bright light in my eyes forgetting where I am lifting my head and seeing out my window at the bright orange and red leaves by the road below. It is a really nice view from so high up. I get up and change into some leggings and a hoodie smaller this time and brush my hair braiding it to keep it out of my face and walk out to the washroom to brush my teeth and wash my face smelling what seemed like pancakes from down the hall.

I walk out to the kitchen seeing August standing at the stove and a small pile of pancakes beside her. "Good morning" I say my voice still a little raspy "Good morning, there's pancakes here if you want some, how did you sleep" She responds with a smile quickly looking at me then back to what she was doing "Thank you, I slept as okay as I can for just moving in, what about you?" I say walking over grabbing a couple pancakes and putting some syrup on them going to sit down at the island. "I slept pretty well. Ruth should be getting up soon, we both have our things in about two hours" She responds turning off the stove grabbing a couple of pancakes for herself sitting beside me at the island. "Okay. Who are the people next door? I heard one of them playing music last night, they are really good." I ask putting another piece of pancake in my mouth. "Not sure, they didn't move in too long ago, maybe a couple of days. We haven't gotten a chance to go say hi to them yet." She says getting up and placing her plate into the dishwasher and packaging up the rest of the pancakes placing them in the fridge. "Why don't we do that after Ruth gets up then, meet them together?" I suggest getting up also putting my plate in the dishwasher. "Sure, I'm gonna go watch tv until then" August says sitting down on the couch flicking on the tv so I decide to join her on the other couch.

About an hour passes until we both hear footsteps us so we look behind and It's none other the Ruth. "Good morning sleepyhead, we were planning on going to meet the neighbors soon so when you can get dressed and come with us." August says to her looking over the back of the couch. "Mmkay" Ruth mutters rubbing her eyes then going back to her room I assume getting changed.

Ruth comes back out dressed in jeans and a grey turtleneck so we all got up and put on our shoes getting ready to leave and introduce ourselves. I feel the nerves build in my stomach as we open the door closing it behind us 'You will be okay, you may never have to see these people again if this goes bad, they are just neighbors after all.' I say to myself quickly realizing we are already at their door me standing behind Ruth and August them knocking on the door. We giggle hearing loud crashing and thumping of people running and hear a males voice shout "HAHA!! Beat you to the door!" and the door open. I see two boys standing there one shorter with dark hair tucked under an LAFD beanie with brown eyes and the other tall with fluffy brown hair and the cutest smile in the land with dark brown eyes, I found myself locking eyes with him getting lost in them forgetting what I was doing.

"Hello" He says with a smile but I can't hear what anybody else is saying until I hear my name. "Y/N. Y/N! Earth to Y/N." I hear August say pinching my arm. "Hm? What's up?" I ask remembering where I am turning red "Were you not listening at all? oh, heheh I know what's up" She says winking at me. "I'm Wilbur" The tall one says with a sparkle in his eye "Oh and I'm Alex" The dark-haired one said seeming to be distracted by August. "Nick come say Hi to the neighbors" Wilbur shouts looking back in their hall for a moment then back at the groups. I see another dark-haired male with a white bandanna holding his hair out of his face. "Hey I'm Nick, If you guys hear screaming from over here don't question it we are probably just playing videogames or something." He says joining us. "Okay, so it's not somebody being murdered, good to know" I joke making everybody laugh. We all say our goodbyes and head back to our apartment.

"S you think Wilbur's cute don't you" Ruth nudges me as soon as our door closes. "Hm? What makes you think I would think that?" I respond feeling my cheeks heat up "You look at him like he is the best thing in the world just staring, it was kind of weird to be honest" August buts in now feeling my cheeks burning up knowing I'm for sure red now if I wasn't before. "File I'll just go sit in my room then if you're going to tease me" I say jokingly stomping off to my room closing my door behind me sitting at my computer booting it up and loading up some YouTube for a while. I suddenly hear some shouting from the other side of the wall "QUACKITY YOU DICK GIVE THAT BACK!!!" I hear what sounds to be Nick "NEVER, YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!" Alex shout back, I start giggling at the bickering I hear through the wall. 'Quackity?' I think to myself looking it up in the search bar, hitting enter many things pop up but I see a twitch account so I click it and see that he is live with over 40 thousand people watching. 'That is defiantly Alex, now I have something to tease him for' I say watching them play or a little not recognizing anybody playing drifting off to sleep.
