The mattress under me sank and the springs groaned. Jake's naked body slowly stretched and sat up. "Hey Abby," Jake said in his deep, raspy morning voice. "I'm glad you're the first thing I saw when I woke up." My face flushed and got hot. The passion to repeat last night's event was overwhelming.
I turned to look behind me at his face. His brown wavy hair covered his olive colored forehead and one of his green eyes. His beauty was overwhelming and I was surprised to see him this amazing looking right when he woke up. His thick hand brushed through my hair and his palm fit perfectly under my chin. He held my jaw tighter, pulling it towards his own. His soft, strawberry lips held mine. My heart started to beat faster and my breathing got heavier. Though he pulled away within seconds, I couldn't keep calm.
I rose out of bed to catch a breath, Jake's flannel button-down T-Shirt baggy on my body. "Abby, where are you going?" Jake breathed. The amount of carelessness in his voice was surprisingly shocking. I knew I wasn't exactly his type, but he did sleep with me.
"I'm just getting dressed." I replied to his absentminded question. I unbuttoned his shirt and slipped my arms out of it. Jake's eyes drifted across each edge of my shape and more. I bent down to pick up my black Bon Jovi tee that had been tossed on the floor and pulled it over my head. My light wash skinny jeans laid on the floor beside it, and I pulled my legs through those too.
I plopped down back on the bouncy bed and into Jake's arms. He was warm and comfortable. I felt safe whenever I was with him. I wanted to be with him, but I knew it wouldn't work. I had too much on my plate right now; school, work, family. Even though it was mainly a one night stand, I felt closer with Jake, like this had formed something between us, perhaps a new beginning?
