You suddenly wake up in the middle of the night due to the faint sound of crying. You quickly get up and move to the sound of the crying. When you finally located the sound, you press your ear on the bedroom door that you are standing next to. You knock on the door gently, trying to not wake up the other roommates in this room but making enough noise to let to know that you are there. You crack the door slightly open. Then you tiptoe through the room and sat down on the bunny's bed. You finally say, "Why are you crying Jungkook?"

He dodges the question and asks, "What are you doing up? It is late at night. You should get some rest."

"I woke to the sound of crying and went to see who it was. So what is wrong?"

He avoids the question again, "How do you even hear me crying? It wasn't even that audible. Not to mention that you are across the hallway."

"When I was little, I used to cry in the middle of the night because I didn't want to burden anyone with my problems, but I half-wished that someone would hear me and would come to my room to comfort me. That habit didn't follow me to when I grow older, but the promise that I made for myself did."

"What did you promise yourself?" Jungkook asks.

"I promised that I will be the person that is able to hear when other people need someone to talk to. Even if they say out loud that they are fine. They may secretly want a shoulder to lean on. It is okay not to go through everything yourself," you explain.

He smiles. "Thanks. You know it is hard sometimes being the Golden Maknae."

"It is hard to be an ordinary person, so I can't imagine being the Golden Maknae. The expectations are sometimes too much for you? I know most of the time you like a good challenge but sometimes it could be too much. Do you feel like the Golden Maknae is an image that ARMY has of you? Do you feel like you need to try harder to appear like that?"

He stares at the ceiling before answering, "Sometimes. Being the maknae is easy. Being the golden part of "Golden Maknae" is sometimes hard."

"Jungkook, no matter what you do, ARMY will think of you as the Golden Maknae. You could be losing by a large margin and ARMY will still consider you as the Golden Maknae. When we are in our sixties and ARMY will consider you as the Golden Maknae just like the rest of the members think of you as their baby boy. You never fail to impress ARMY with anything you do. You don't need to feel like you are not living up to ARMY's standards. You are talented in a lot of things. You have the title of Golden Maknae for a reason. If you didn't deserve it then you wouldn't be given it. Don't push yourself too hard, you are already an amazing person just the way you are."

"'Don't push yourself too hard' says the person who been waking up 5 in the morning and go to bed at least 10 in the night. Remind me who was the one who fainted due to exhaustion a couple of weeks ago?" he teases you while smiling.

"It is not like you haven't done it either. Plus there is a fine line between spending a lot of effort to improve yourself and pushing yourself too hard. I am just spending a lot of effort to improve myself, it just so happens that my body is not used to it yet. You, on the other hand at this moment, can just sit down and everyone would still consider you as the Golden Maknae. There is no reason for you to toe the line between putting a lot of effort and overworking yourself."
"Sure. 'Your body is not used it yet' says the person who has a work schedule similar to this, probably stayed up for a long time to study, and can do our dances with ease. Keep telling yourself that," Jungkook says sarcastically. You guys say there in silence for a moment, until Jungkook says, "You know Y/N, you would be a great mother one day."

"Me?" you ask. He nods his head. "Oh uh um. Thanks. Maybe one day, but I already have a handful with you and the rest of the members. Sometimes I don't know who is older, my brother or me."
