Momo's head snapped up when Jeongyeon called her, pulling her out from her deep thoughts.

Jeongyeon sighed when she saw Momo's teary eyes and furrowed brow. She shook her head. "Don't even—"

"I did this." Momo cut her off. "This is his first warning. It's my fault."

"We're not even sure if it's him who did this. For all we know, it could be just an accident."

"This is the first time that something like that happened to us!" she countered, her voice lightly raising. "And that's when she set foot in our school, in our life. This can't be a coincidence."

Momo wasn't able to control her tears and it came rushing down her cheeks. She looked away and bit her bottom lip.

"Hey." Jeongyeon closed their distance and held her arms. "Calm down. It's gonna be fine. We're gonna get through this."
