As the next morning came, Dylan was still searching for a new place to call home.
"It's cold.. What did i do to deserve this.."
Said the poor guy, but then he felt a slight tap on his shoulder. It was the guy who saved him from that forest, Ghost."Oh hey man, how are you?"
"Great.. am alright."
"Did you find yourself a good home?"
"Does it look like i found a good home?"
Ghost coughed and said. "uh.. no i guess, sorry for asking."
Dylan sighed then replied.
"You and the other girl are being kind..too kind.""Thanks?-"
"It's suspicious, what do you want?"
"We don't want anything- we just wanted to help you out y'know?"
"But why? I don't understand you two, being nice towards someone you just met?"
"Isn't that how everyone acts?"
"...not like how i was raised.. atleast from my fathers side."
Dylan sat down under a tree's shadow, trying to cover himself from the sun.
"I see.. well, i do not know how your father acted towards you, but we here are nice to each other!"
"That's.. good i think"
"Look, you should with us, maybe we can help you find a stable home?"
"Alright then.. but i will rest here for sometime."
"Suit yourself mate."
A few hours later.
After that talk, Dylan was convinced that there is a little nice in this world, the two went back to the small cabin Crystal owns."Oh! You came back!" Crystal smiled as she greeted them.
"Heh.. yeah i guess i did."
"Well then! Sit here, I'll go get some cookies-"
"Cookies?-"
Then Ghost entered. "Yes. Cookies."
"That's a rather weird thing to start things off with but i have no choice i guess" thought Dylan to himself.
Sometime later, The three had fun as Dylan started to be more nicer to them.
All of them were laughing, enjoying their time and forming a strong friendship between the two and Dylan.
And then, Crystal asked."So Dylan, what type of powers ya got?"
He stopped for a second, turning his smile into an annoyed face in matter of seconds.
"Why are you asking?"
"Well, Aren't we friends now? And if its different its nothing to be ashamed of! If it makes ya any better we'll tell you what powers we have, isn't that right Ghost?" She poked him to grab his attention.
"Wha- oh uh- yeah sure."
Ghost stood up, and suddenly an aura of lightning started forming around him, his eyes turned golden and marks appeared around them. "I, Ghost, have the power of lightning, i can form tools and weapons out of my raw lightning."
Dylan looked in amazement and then Crystal jumped out of her place and an aura of prismatic light formed around her.
"I, Crystal, Have the power of- well- Crystals- damn it i made this look silly- alright so basically, i can make pillars out of crystals, its not the best power but it can be useful sometimes."
"Yeah when not being able to reach the cabinet-"
"GHOOST >:'("
Dylan still had the look of amazement, and then he confessed.
"Guys i.. am powerless.. i don't have any sort of powers, that's.. why my parents abandoned me.."
The two were pretty shocked, not because Dylan is powerless, but because of how his parents treated him.
They went over to him and comforted him."Hey it's okay man, being powerless doesn't mean you're bad! You seem better than most of the people I've ever met." Said Ghost.
"Yeah..! We won't judge you because of your abilities! What really matters is how good us your personality."
Dylan was also shocked from what these two have said, he used to believe that magic is everything.
But now, he knows he doesn't need magic to be successful in life.
To be continued..
