I got into K-pop in a very weird way.
In 2017, one day after coming home from school my elder sister told me that some Korean people are very famous nowadays. People are in love with them and she also told me that they wear makeup. (WAIT!!!!! WHAT???? MAKEUP?????) This is what I thought at that time and without even looking at their pictures or hearing their songs, I just told myself to hate them. During 2017 and 2018, there was a channel on television that showed a lot of K-pop songs. I didn't even dare to listen to one of their songs.
Then, one day in 2019, when I was watching a YouTube video (If you move, you lose), I came through a K-pop song (IDOL by BTS) and many more. At that moment I fell in love with the music, the beat and the dance. I figured out that this was my genre. I started listening to BTS and then Black pink. In June 2019, I decided to become an army. I listened to each and every song of BTS. I was too obsessed with them. I wouldn't watch anything other than BTS related stuff. This was my biggest fault because I soon became bored of them. In January 2020, I decided to stan another group but the problem was that I couldn't find any. I was going through some K-pop songs when a guy caught my eyes.
It was...... Hyunjin from Stray kids!!!!!
I was listening to On Track by Stray kids when Hyunjin caught my eyes. Then, I started listening to more of stray kids' songs and I decided to become a STAY. Just like this, I became a stay. I promised myself not to get super obsessed with them so that I don't get bored. I am still a stay. YAY!!!! After I became a huge K-pop fan, the channel on my television that showed hundreds of K-pop songs everyday stopped showing them. I hate it.
Now a cool fact: I started stanning Stray kids exactly one year later I started stanning BTS.
Thank you all so much for reading it. SARANGHAE!!!
