What if Aj survived

Not even a few seconds later

I get yanked out the way as the revenant attacks. "The hell Aj?!" I look but he's on the other side of the room, I turn and see Nate. "Nate?! But you were dead!?" He shakes his head and motions for us to shush while the revenant looks for us. Nate motions to the door but Aj and I shake our heads. "Gwens still up there" I say to him. "Alive..?" He says. I look down in tears again and Aj shakes his head. "Right. Y/N go into the kitchen and make some noise. Be careful though, Aj and I will go get Gwen.." Nate says shaking his head a bit. I nod and sneak into the kitchen. I start banging pots together and making as much noise as I can. I see the revenant out of the corner of my eye and quickly hide behind the counter. "Please don't see me.." I say quietly. When I hear the mini van start up I stand only to come face to face with him. "Oh shudge.." I turn to run but I trip over a lose floorboard. I scream, scared for my life as the relevant gets closer and closer. Then it all goes black

AJ'S POINT OF VIEW

I showed Nate the room we had seen Gwen last in. She's still there, laying lifeless on the floor. I can't look.. but I can't just leave her here in this house. She doesn't deserve that. No one does. We walk into the room and Nate examines the area while I kneel down by Gwen, hugging her to my chest. "I'm so sorry Gwen... I shouldn't have left you with Y/N!" I say moving a piece of hair out of her face.

NATE'S POINT OF VIEW

Aj is on the floor next to Gwen. I can tell he's trying to stay in control of his emotions, it's not working. Poor guy.. I examine the room to see if I can find any clues as to how to get rid of the revenant. I don't dare even think his name. My head still hurts from my impact with him. Gwen's dead, Aj is distraught and Y/N is in danger down there. I must find a way to get them out of here. The mini van!! "Aj! How many smudging sticks did we bring?!" I turn and ask him. "I had about five or six on me but I burned them all.." he reply's to me. I can tell he's holding back tears. There might be more in the van but I can't be sure. It's too late. We hear a scream. But it's not just a scream. I look at Aj, he's figured it out same time I did. Y/N's in danger.
