A/N: sorry I haven't posted in awhile... I had to take a coryxkenshin long break, hope you guys like this chapter. Please leave a comment and vote.
I barely got any sleep last night. I kept on thinking about what happened yesterday with Beck. Like I've been going to school for the same amount of time as them. How did I not know that they used to date? Anyways since I couldn't sleep last night I decided to make Beck an "I'm so sorry" card with some "I'm so sorry" money.
The next day after I get ready, I call Jade.
"Hello" she answers
"Hey... I was wondering if you could pick me up." I hear her sigh and then I say " Oh come on, It'll be the first time we ride to school together, It'll be just you and me and I'll make it romantic"
"But it won't be just you and me Y/n."
"What do you mean?" I ask
" Well Tori can't buy herself a car of her own and she needs a ride" I was about to say that that was so sweet of her to do but then she says, " I think imma drop her off in the desert". I tell her to have fun and then hang up. I guess I'm stuck riding with my dad.
When we get to school the first thing I do is try to find Beck but he is nowhere to be found. I hope that I didn't hurt his feelings. I walk into the school and see Cat and André talking so I go to them.
"Hey guys," I say and they say hi back.
"Have you guys seen Beck?"
"No, I haven't," Cat says and André points to Cat as if to say he hasn't seen him either.
I shake my head ok and start to leave when André says " wait why do you want to see him"
" well we were walking home yesterday and I think I said something wrong. I mean I feel really bad about it so I wanted to give him this gift" I say holding up a little bag with the card/ money and some candy I decided to throw in there last minute. "Oh yeah, maybe that's what he was talking about this morning, I mean he told me he did feel good soo" Cat was saying but I didn't let her finish " wait I thought you said you didn't see him today."
" I didn't," she says as she shrugs her shoulders
" but you just said you talked to him this morning," André says, taking the words right out of my mouth.
" Yeah, he called me" oh my god that is basically the same freaking thing. I just shake my head and walk away. I must have really hurt him that bad, like for him to not come to school. Maybe I should just go to his house and tell him I'm sorry, yeah I'll just do that instead.
As I walk out of the school I see Jade getting out of her car. I looked in the passenger's seat to see if Tori was there and she wasn't. I don't know why I thought that she was joking. Anyway, I really want to hurry up and get this to Beck. I walk down the street and look around. I see that there's a bus stop next to the school. Yet another thing I didn't know was at the school. I go to see when the next bus ran through and the next one that was coming in a couple of minutes. When the bus finally comes a whole bunch of people get off and I get on. Once I'm on the bus I start to feel much better. I sit down on a seat next to the window and lay my head on it. (IDK if any of this paragraph sounds right lmao) I put on my headphones and let my surroundings fade away and soon I fall asleep.
When I wake up, I don't know where I am but I soon remember what I was doing. I look outside the window of the bus and realize that I'm about a 10min walk away from Beck's house, I mean RV. I tip the bus driver and get off the bus (you may be thinking how much money do I have... A LOT, you have A LOT). I walk down a couple of streets then into his neighborhood. Once I get to his um RV I knock on the door. I hear some shuffling around then the door opens
" oh hey Y/n," Beck says, his voice sounded very raspy. I was literally trying to cough for him
"Hey Beck"
"What are you doing here," he asks looking around outside
" ohwellum, I kind of felt bad for asking you about what happened between you and Jade," I explain to him, spelling kinda fast
"You don't have to be sorry for something you didn't know," he says moving out of the doorway so that I can come in.
" I know but I felt bad then when I got to school you weren't there and Cat said that you weren't feeling good,, so I felt even worse," I say holding up my I'm a sorry bag and giving it to him. He gladly takes the bag and starts to look through it. He takes some candy out of the bag and plops it into his mouth and says " It's just a cold or something.... I think I got it from the kid I was babysitting" well that's a relief.
JADE's P.O.V (this part will be different from the show)
After texting Y/n I go to pick up Tori. Tori has been asking everyone and their hamsters for rides this week... it's too bad she asked me, oh how I'm about to have fun. I really wanted to give Y/n a ride to school today tho. I wonder what she meant by " making it romantic", I guess I'll make it up tomorrow. I pull into Tori's driveway and honk my horn. She comes running out and gets in the car.
"Thank you so much... I can NOT get in that car with Trina" she says placing bags down.
I pull out of the driveway and head to "school". About ten minutes later Tori starts to notice that we are no way near the school... in fact we were in the very dessert that I was telling Y/n about.
"Um Jade?" she says worriedly
" Yes Tori" I reply in a singsong voice, looking over at her
"Where's the school"
"Oh, I'm just taking a shortcut," I say, turning off AC and radio. I then proceed to start humming like a little girl from a scary movie
I drive very slowly and look over at Tori. I could really see the discomfort in her face, so I stopped the car " Um Jade?" she says once more. And all I do is look at her. I look at her very intensely. I break the silence "Yes Victoria?" I say, saying her full name. She gulps then says " I think I'll just walk from here... Yeah I'll just walk from here" she gets out of the car and I drive away. I turn back on the AC because it is actually really hot in here and I don't want to... to um sweat. I speed my way back to school and manage to get there before the first bell. I get into the school and start looking for Y/n to make up for not giving her a ride to school today but I can't find her.
Back to Y/n p.o.v
As I'm sitting on Beck's couch I start to get thirsty and ask him for a glass of water. He goes into his "kitchen" to make me a glass of water. Once he's done he comes back and gives it to me.
"What took you so long?" I ask
"Oh uh I had to clean a cup out" he replies, looking at me as if to ask if that was a good answer
I nod my head and start to drink my water which tastes kind of weird but I guess tap water always tastes weird. " You know I can really see why Jade liked you" I say to him. " I Mean you're really nice and attractive" I look up at him and he's just smiling " you are too" he says looking into my eyes. He puts his hand on the side of my face and starts to lean in. He closes his eyes Once he is close enough I realize what was happening "WHAT THE HELL'' I say pushing him away. " I thought, I thought we were connecting" he says " connecting over what, not being at school... cuz that's the only thing we have incommon rn" I say getting up. "Yeah you're right" he says. I drink the rest of the my water and start to head for the door when Beck stops me " let me give you a ride, I don't think Jade would want you over on this side of town alone" hearing that I agreed.
I get in the car and Beck starts to drive. The ride to school was quiet until I noticed something " Um beck?" I say but he doesn't answer
"Beck" I say a little louder
"hmm" he says acknowledging me " you passed the turn"
" Um no I didn't" he says, and I notice something else
"What happened to your voice... why do you sound normal" I ask but he doesn't reply. I start to feel really sleepy and soon all I see is black.
