You noticed Midorya's small smile that he always carried on his had faded away. He didn't seem as bright as usual and you panicked whether his sudden change of character from the previous day was the cause of his dull attitude.
It was the end of the school day and you weren't on cleaning duty. You decided to head up to the rooftop for a quick breather before leaving to go home.
The door was already slightly opened, so someone must be there already. You shut the door gently behind you and wondered what spot you wanted to sit at.
As you looked up, you saw a head of curly green hair with a black boys' uniform sitting on a bench, staring at the sky.
He didn't notice your presence; he kept his gaze focused on the sky. It was a little bit cloudy, but the sky was clear enough to let orange rays of sunlight escape from above the clouds.
"Hey there, Midorya," You greeted him.
He turned to you with a surprised expression on his face.
"Oh, (Y/N)!" He quickly jolted.
You sat down on the bench, making sure to keep a distance from him so he didn't feel uncomfortable.
Curiously, you glanced over at him. Your cheeks reddened at the sight of Midorya stating up at the blue sky. The somewhat sorrowful expression he held made you more intrigued by him. His emerald eyes were bright with wonder.
You really missed his smile. It reminded you of the sun.
Mesmerised by him, you blurted out, "Can I draw you?"
There was a thick, awkward silence between you two. It was like time had stopped and all that existed was nothing but silence.
"H-Huh?" He replied.
"I mean-" You tried to cover up your embarrassment, "If you don't mind, that is."
You turned away from him, your face was so red that you felt like you could've made a tomato jealous. Instant regret washed over you and you felt the urge to take those words back.
Without warning, he answered, "I-I don't mind..."
"Eh?"
"I don't mind you drawing me." Midorya's eyes were downcast as his voice was a low whisper.
"For real?"
He nodded shakily.
"T-Thank you...!" In your excitement, you grabbed both of Midorya's hands in your own with a huge, dopey smile on your face.
He was quite taken aback at the sudden contact and flinched, his eyes widening a fraction before calming down as he felt how soft and gentle your hands were as you grabbed his. You couldn't help it as you were so happy that he actually agreed to be your drawing reference.
