When the team finally got together they made a plan they thought for sure would work. Tony would host a huge event that would be sure to gain a lot of attention at the compound, then they just had to hope Hydra would see that as a perfect opportunity to send the kids over again.
Then they'd find the kids and try their best to help them.

Peter was close to his breaking point. He didn't cry anymore, he just couldn't. It was like there was a hole in his brain that just wouldn't let him feel anything except just being tired. Tired all the time but he refused to close his eyes because all he could see was them. Harry and Gwen. He killed them. He refused to eat and he did whatever he was told.To him there wasn't a point in living anymore. Everything that he had was gone and it was his fault. He still remembers the feeling of the blood splattering on his face and arms. How his throat hurt from screaming and crying. He felt so empty. He wanted to cry so bad, he wanted to let it out, but he couldn't. So he sat in his cell staring at the wall till someone would come and get him.
Even Mr. Lark noticed the difference, Peter had heard him say how dead and empty his eyes looked, how pale and thin he was. Peter didn't care.
Sometimes on the very bad nights where his thoughts won't stop screaming at him he thinks. He thinks what if he purposely betrayed Hydra just so they could put him out of his misery. He thinks about it a lot.

They had introduced him to more kids they took from the streets but Peter didn't care. Didn't interact with them. There was one girl and one boy. They seemed to be the same age as him, both of them were dark skinned and had curly hair. The girls hair covered half her face.He didn't bother to talk to them or even learn their name. They didn't matter to him. He didn't care. They didn't seem to care about him either and he was glad. The only reason he found out their names was when he overheard two of the guards talking while he was training.
Michelle and Miles.
Peter could tell that Hydra wanted the three to work together but he refused. He couldn't work with more people or he'd lose them too. He only saw them as co-workers, not teammates, not friends, not family.
They started training together and he learned their codenames.
The girl was Tsvetok. Which meant flower. He thought it was a pretty name, but he liked her real name more, Michelle. Michelle. Michelle was her real name and it was a beautiful name.
The boy was svet. He was able to produce something almost like lightning from his finger tips.

One night Hydra decided the three were going to share a cell. Michelle and miles were thrown in and their eyes immediately landed on Peter who sat near the corner, his legs pulled up to his chest and his head resting on his knees while he stared at the wall. He didn't bother looking at them.Michelle glared at him. She couldn't tell if she liked him or not. He was quiet, which was one thing she liked about him, but she didn'tknow anything else about him . She never heard him talk before though. She's heard Miles speak, constantly.
She stood up and took a few steps towards the boy. "Hey." He didn't move, still staring at the wall.
She crossed her arms already frustrated with him. "Hello?"
Finally he looked at her and she saw his face. She stared at his brown eyes, they looked empty, sad. She wonders if they used to be filled with warmth and light before he came here.
"What's your name?"
He stayed silent for a minute and mumbled.
"Peter."
