It was a rainy day outside. The wind was cold and the skies were gray. Not the prettiest day, but, Socks and Meme found it relaxing in some way.

But then... Meme realized something.

"SOCKS!" Meme screamed from the kitchen.

Socks rushed there, thinking that something bad happened.

"What's going on?" Socks asked.

"The fridge is almost empty! I know it's rainy but we have to cook something. Sure, we can order food but it's not like we could live off of that! Plus, I don't think that eating fast food for breakfast is a good idea." Meme said, half angry at Socks.

"I guess you've got a point." Socks said, sounding bored.

"It's not like anything bad could happen at the store!" Meme said, not knowing what's about to happen.

They both got in the car. Socks was driving to the closest supermarket in that area.

They put on their masks and went in the store.

They grabbed the essentials, such as eggs, milk, bread and so on.

They were holding hands, knowing that it's not the 70's where they would be judged for their sexuality.

And they were definitely wrong...

A woman passed by. She had the usual Karen haircut. Oh God... not the Karens!

"WHY ARE YOU TWO GROWN MEN HOLDING HANDS? DO YOU KNOW THAT BEING GAY IS A SIN?" the furious woman asked.

Both Socks and Meme had the same thought.
Great... a middle aged Karen.

"With all respect, ma'am, but we are both aware of what we're doing and who we're dating. It's not illegal and it's not hurting anyone so why even bother?" Socks said, trying to outsmart the angry woman.

"HOW DARE YOU BE SO RUDE? RESPECT YOUR ELDERS, YOUNG MAN!" the Karen screamed in madness.

Socks and Meme didn't know what to do or say. They both knew that woman was crazy like every other Karen.

"Look ma'am, we weren't disrespectful to you. But we have rights and we are humans too! And there's definitely no need to get hostile over a happy and normal couple." Meme said, trying to make the annoying lady shut up.

"THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NORMAL WITH BEING GAY! YOU'RE SUCH DISRESPECTFUL SINNERS!" the lady screamed again. But this time, even louder that she did before.

"I'M GETTING THE MANAGER!" the Karen spoke, once again.

"I think this is the right time to go away..." Meme said.

"Agreed" Socks said, nodding afterwards.

Socks and Meme just went to buy snacks and other foods.

But obviously, a Karen never gives up. They always need to start verbally and even physically harassing random people that haven't done anything wrong.

"These are the disrespectful men that harassed me!" the Karen said.

"Of course she came back!" Socks whispered to Meme.

"Do you mind explaining why this lady came to one of my employees to tell me that you harassed her and were rude to her?" the manager said.

"We didn't do such things!" Meme said, with a hint of disgust in his voice.

"This lady screamed at us for holding hands and said that we're sinners. We tried to explain and calm her down but it doesn't seem like she understands the concept of sexuality." Socks said, sounding like an absolute explaining genius to Meme.

"THAT'S NOT TRUE! I WANT THEM TO BE BANNED FROM THE STORE!" the woman screamed. Was she ever going to stop?

"There's no need to get angry at that, ma'am. We can always check the cameras to see what was going on." the manager said.

Socks and Meme were trying not to laugh. They knew that the horrible Karen would get in some sort of trouble.

"N-no! There's no need to do that! I swear they harassed me!" the Karen was definitely not playing the victim too well.

They checked the cameras and obviously, Karen was 'banned' from the store.

Socks and Meme drove home to rest and watch a movie. This was definitely a day to be remembered.
