Chapter two: Rising sea

The text said:
Anonymous- Alex you seem happy, well not for long. Wait until I expose the truth about you to Zachary. Who would want you after they found out?

Alex woke up early in the morning, the text from the night before still weighed heavy on her mind.
She had told Zach everything about her, well almost everything. Some secrets, were better left untold right?

Alex wondered in the back of her mind if it was her past tormentor, or if it was someone in her life now. Before she could think about it any deeper, she heard the familiar sound of Zach's morning groan.

"Ugh, it's too early for this." He said like he usually did every morning. Alex pushed her dark thoughts aside and smiled at him affectionately.

"Zach it's 9:45." She said simply laughing. Then she remembered the conversation she had with drake the night before.

"Oh Zach, call your brother, he's planning something for jade and his anniversary, and he needs the squad to help.

Zach nodded groggily, and picked up his phone, and began talking to his brother on call.

While he did that, Alex decided to take her mind off of the text. What if it was just some harmless prank? She thought to herself, as she scrambled eggs.

She was not a good cook at all. So when she was done, the eggs were burnt and messy. She let out a frustrated huff. She feeds the eggs to her dogs, who delightful gobbled them up. And then she sat on the couch and cuddled with her other pets.

This was her confront place, if only Zach was next to her, then her world would be complete. A few minutes later. Zach walked down the stairs, out of his PJs, and fully dressed.

"I'm leaving to go meet up with the bros," he said strolling over and giving her a quick kiss on the forehead.

"You're leaving me already?" She said jokingly, but the terrifying reality behind the statement made her heartache. She hoped that he would always come back to her.

"I'll be back soon, kitten." He said to her. As he began his way to the door.

"I love you." He said blowing her a kiss. God, he was such a simp. She thought as she blew one back. "I love you, Zachary." She said and he walked out the door.

All of the sudden, her phone began ringing. She looked down at it, and it was an unknown caller. She answered, slowly.

"Alexandra teran." The voice said with finality as if they knew exactly who they were calling. "Who is this and what do you want?" Alex responds in a trembling voice. She couldn't recognize the voice it sounded like a voice changer app of some sort.

"I want to end all of your happiness, after what you did, you don't deserve love anyway." The person stated.

Alex was terrified, she didn't know what to do.
"If you don't want me to tell Zach, then you must complete my first task." They said in a newly content voice.

"What is it, I'll do anything." She said, desperately. "Well, I want you to ruin drake and Jade's relationship." The voice said laughing maniacally.

What? She couldn't do that. They were her best friends. She had seen them meet and grow and love each other. She could never ruin their relationship.

"Do it, or I'll tell Zach your secret. The choice is yours." The caller said then Hung up the phone.

Now she was left with the decision of whether to ruin her best friend's relationship or ruin her and Zach's relationship.

She was at a crossroad, and she didn't know what to do.
