y/n put her stuff down on the desk before her. "a friend of mine told me about studying here," she rambled.

"wilbur?" he tilted his head. "i only know about this place because of him," he continued.

"wait, you know wilbur?" she tilted her head, mirroring him.

"yeah, he's a close friend of mine." his eyes lit up.

y/n had noticed his eyes sparked. no matter how dark it seemed, his eyes still managed to have a slight spark. maybe thats what drew her to him, she wondered to herself.

"cool." she coldly replied, she sat down and began to arrange her books. for some reason she didn't want him to know how much he interested her.

she opened up a book and began to take notes on what she thought seemed important.

soon the words seemed to dance around, her vision getting blurry. a comforting pressure on her forehead made her extremely sleepy. before she even knew it she fell fast asleep.

her left cheek flat on the book page.

-

"hey idiot,"

a finger poked y/n's head, bringing her back to consciousness.

"leave me alone..." she grunted, turning her head.

"idiot, the classrooms are being closed." once again, a strange finger poked y/n's cheek. "its time to go!"

y/n's eyes fluttered open. slowly regaining vision.

"wait what?" she sat up, looking up at ugly sweater boy.

"yeah, the classrooms close at 6pm." he reached for something in his backpack.

"here," he handed her a canned drink.

her eyebrows furrowed.

"for me?" she pointed her index finger at herself in confusion.

he blankly stared at her.

"no, for the ghost next to you." he sarcastically snapped back. "yes its for you,"

"why is he being so... nice to me?" she wondered to herself.

her hand reached for the drink. a strange amount of excitement tickled her whole body, a feeling of comfort yet thrill.

"mocha iced coffee" the label read. y/n hated drinking coffee but how could she reject the drink.

"thank you, i love coffee..." she had lied yet her smile was so genuine that it left her wondering if she actually loved coffee

"cool." he replied coldly before turning around and walking out the door, leaving y/n feeling dumb.

"wow, what a fucking shi-" her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening once again.

"by the way, whats your name?" he asked, leaning on the door way.

it was ugly sweater boy, he had came back.

"y/n," she replied, the corner of her lip tilting up in a slight smirk.

"cool, im alex... bye." he dashed out the door.

-

her lips let out a long, yet comforting sigh.

y/n sat on her bed, staring at the coffee can on her bedside table.

"alex, huh?" she smiled to herself.

her smile quickly faded as she realized the thought of him made her smile. "fuck."

she leaned back, her back resting on the bed. the sound of the city brought her comfort as her eyes gazed the random flashing lights from the cars outside on the bedroom walls. bzzt! bzzt!

her phone from under her pillow vibrated. she reached for the phone, the light of the screen hurting her eyes. 2 new messages from unknown number.
