"As much as I wanted to be a hero I must admit, oh baby the villains have so much more fun."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rain was cold, it always seemed to rain whenever you finally decided to go out. Your quirk actually liked the rain. It was good for your voice and it always made your voice have a further reach. You only went out at night since it was too risky to be out during the day. That was mostly false but everyone thought you were dead.

Obviously you weren't. But you couldn't allow the world to know that you were still alive, most of the people in the world viewed you as a villain, your ability or as everyone called it "quirk" was too dangerous to be around, you could control it very well but it was still very dangerous

In your time as a hero you were referred to as siren since your ability was controlling people with your voice, it wasn't like a mind control quirk where simply speaking to them made them fall under your control, it was when you sang that things went wrong

The only way to break loose of your power was if you were to change keys in the song you were singing, even if you stopped singing the effects stayed for a great amount of time after. You had made it a point to avoid singing at all costs, but every once in a while a good parking garage or stair well made you test out the acoustics.

Walking in the rain was soothing and annoying at the same time since you were getting wet, but the way the city was quiet when it rained calmed you. It had been a few weeks since you decided to go out, you needed to get groceries. There was a convenient store by your apartment which was, ironically, convenient.

Since it had been years since the public had seen you it had become significantly easier to hide your appearance, besides having the same face you had cut you hair into a short pixie like cut.

// AN: in this story Y/N has curly hair //

You walked into the convenient store and grabbed all the stuff you needed paid and left. You grabbed a little more than you needed but it had been a while since you decided to treat yourself to some comfort food.

You walked out and walked to the side of the building to put away the loose change you had, only, it felt like someone was watching you.. But you recognized this presence.

"I thought we had agreed not to meet in public places like this.." You said flatly, not even bothering to look up from your wallet, then he stepped out of the shadows, "Dabi."

He simply shrugged and approached you "I just happened to be on this side of town."

His blue eyes were laced with pride, followed by the smug expression tugging on his lips as he leaned onto the wall next to you

You knew why he was here but it still didn't make you care nonetheless.

You looked up at him with a flat expression "Liar. You came here to gloat"

He smirked, "And so what if I did? I'm sure you saw the news."

You rolled your eyes "Yes I did. And I gotta say, attacking a bunch of highschool students when you weren't even sure the main target was there is kind of stupid, and kidnapping one just to have a hit on all-might? Also stupid."

He chuckled "But we still pulled it off."

You rolled your eyes again

"You trying to find something back there? Cause you sure are rolling your eyes a lot."

You turned slight away from him "Shut up you're one to talk. And I don't call that pulling it off, he may have almost died but still.. you killed a lot of people Dabi... And I thought I told you to leave me alone. I used to be a hero, remember? So what you're doing doesn't sit well with me."

He pushed himself off the wall and crossed his arms "Yeah well that was before you 'died' so technically it shouldn't matter. You're not a hero anymore siren. They wanted you dead and you know it."

You looked away from him. You wanted to deny the fact that after you had "died" the world let out a breath, one it seemed to have been holding for a while.

And as much as you didn't want to admit it, it hurt. A lot. Except one person never really seemed to be happy about it, and that one person was your best friend. He seemed to be in grief, he even stepped down from being a hero for a while because of it.

"I know Dabi. thank you for reminding me." you put the rest of your money away and started walking to your house

Dabi trailing not too far behind.

"He wants me to recruit you."

You kept walking "Don't care. I was a hero not a villain. I wont be a villain."

Dabi sped up cutting you off "He wont take no for an answer, he says you either join, or we reveal to the public you're still alive after all of these years.

You sighed and looked into Dabi's eyes "I'll think about it okay? I know if I joined I'd have to kill him.. And I could hardly see him on the news so. No."

Dabi groaned loudly "You're still hung up over him? Let go Siren. Let. Go"

You gave him a glare. "You don't get to make that decision. Good night, Dabi."

And with that you walked away, pushing him slightly with your elbow.

"I'll let you know tomorrow. Meet me at the old Pizzaria after dark. When I show is when I show."

----------------------------------------

You walked inside your apartment and put your groceries away.

What would happen if I actually decided to join the league?

You gave yourself several scenarios in your head.

No, I cant.... He would be crushed..

Then a part in your mind said these words

Hero society deserves to fall... and I'd like to be the one to push it to its knees.

And you knew what you had to do....

Congratulations Siren, You're about to become a villain...
