You and Nubbins were getting ready for a date. You two were going to the lake by the house. You were currently in the kitchen with Drayton making lunch for you and Nubbins to have while you were gone. Drayton decided it would be a nice idea to make some of his special chili for you two, although you didn't really like eating humans you always liked Drayton's chili. When you where done making food for the two of you and packing it all into a bag, you went to get nubbins who was packing clothes for you guys to change out of after going into the lake so your not in wet ones on your way home, considering it's like a 10-15 minute walk. ((pretend it is because idk why i just said lmao)) When you two left the house it was around 11:30. On your walk to the lake Nubbins had his arm around your waist holding you closely to him. When the two of you finally got to the lake Nubbins picked you up "L-love im so-sorry!" you looked at him confused and Nubbins threw you into the lake, as he did you managed to yell "Nubbins! No!!" when you hit the water you started freaking out because you didn't know how to swim, when Nubbins saw you freaking out he went into the water and quickly picked her up and went out of the water "i-im sorry love!! I didn't kn-know you didn't know h-how to swim!!" He holds you closely and kisses your forehead softly. You looked at him and shook your head "Nubbins...don't be sorry darling...you can't know something if I don't tell you...I'm sorry.." you kissed his cheek in reassurance and smiles a bit, while Nubbins was extremely nervous about the situation "i-im really sorry...." you looked up at him and kissed him softly "Nubbins..love please..its ok...how about we eat lunch then go into the water and have some fun..?" Nubbins looked at her and nodded before sitting down on the ground against a tree and kissing your cheek softly and keeping close to him, you simply smiled and cuddled into his side and took out the chili and the two of you ate the chili before going into the lake when you finished. Nubbins watched you closely to make sure no water went into your face and that you guys didn't go too deep in the lake where you couldn't stand. You guys didn't go back home till the sun set. When the sun began to set, Nubbins took your hands and kissed you softly before picking you up and the bag with the leftover food and clothes and carried you back home. you happened to fall asleep into his arms which caused him to smile and drop the bag at the door and took you into your shared bedroom and wrapped you into a blanket and kissed your cheek softly before laying next to you and holding you tightly into his arms and eventually falling asleep himself.

((AHAHHAHA this is cute of course i had to add you almost dying for drama purposes but beyond that it was adorable lol but i mean nubbins is just adorable in general
