Chase was driving me back to our hotel. Rose decided to stay, but i knew she was doing this for me.
"So, how do you feel," Chase asked. He looked worried, he was so sweet.
"I'm good," I answered him, but it was more of a whisper.
"I meant your ankle," He clarified.
"oh, Its a little sore, but its bearable."
it was different with Chase. Whenever I'm with Trevor, I could feel butterflies in my stomach and when I'm with Chase, I felt so free, he was easy to talk to and comfortable to be around with.
"Hey, is there something going on between you and Trevor?"
Why is he asking this? He sounded almost too serious...
"uhm, no... not really.. i mean.... i don't know," I admitted. I could feel my cheeks blush with embarrasment.
"Oh," Chase looked away
"Chase?"
"hm?"
"Thanks for tonight, sorry you had to leave the party because of me."
He just smiled and gave my hand a squeeze.
Then there was silence.
This was a different silence. usually with Trevor, It gets awkward and nerve-wrecking but with Chase, it felt natural like we could talk with each other without even opening our mouths.
"You seem a bit lonely tonight."
"I'm used to that," I shrugged
"Maybe music will help," he turned on the radio and one of my favorite songs played.
Your hand fits in mine, like it’s made just for me.
But bear this in mind it was meant to be.
And I’m joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks.
And it all makes sense to me.
I know you’ve never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you you smile.
You’ve never loved your stomach or your thighs.
The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine.
But I’ll love them endlessly.
I won’t let these little things slip out of my mouth.
But if I do, it’s you.
Oh it’s you they add up to.
I’m in love with you, and all these little things.
It was about loving an imperfect person perfectly. I hope one day, someone would love me just like that, to look beyond my imperfections and just love me and make me feel that I'm perfect.
"Wow," Chase turned to face me," how long have you been singing, Savannah, your voice sounds amazing!"
"My voice is not as amazing as yours. don't tell anyone, promise?"
"Maybe."
"CHASE!"
The song ended as we reached the parking lot. I insisted to walk but Chase didn't agree, he carried me and silently went up the stairs and into the lobby.
"Good evening, Ms. Hart," The girl behind the desk greeted me. Her name was Beth. Dhe was a college student. She had thin brown hair, straight as silk. She had beauitful hazel eyes, she was tan, her upper lip was a bit bigger than her bottom. I've grown to like her ever since I got here. We'd chat here for hours talking about school and other stuff. But all of that went away when I saw her eyeing Chace's shirtless upperbody. I forced my eyes away from her and headed towards the elevator door. BUT WHY WAS I JEALOUS?? The elevator reached the 20th floor.
"Well , this is my room," I said as I was searching for the card.
"Yeah."
I swiped the card and the door opened and I stepped inside but he grabbed my hand.
"When can I see you again?"
"I.. don't know?!.. Bye." I quickly went inside and shut the door.
I AM AN IDIOT. I SHUT THE DOOR AT HIS FACE.. the heck?? I opened my eyes and looked at the dark room.. Maybe I do feel lonely tonight... I opened the door and saw him walking towards the elevator with his head looking down and his hands in his pockets.
"When can you see me again," I shouted
He turned around to face me and I saw his lips form into a smile.
"Wanna talk about it inside?"
He came running, flashing a big smile. "That would be great!"
"I wanna show you something," I winked
He held my hand and we went indiside the room, and walked hand in hand out into the balcony. I showed him the view of the whole city. It was amazing, the moon was shining brightly above us. The starswere twinling like diamonds. Everything was perfect.
"Its beautiful isn't it," I sighed and looked at him.
"Yeah but ---- I have my eyes fixed on something right now."
"oh...," I looked down, a little disapointed," aren't you cold?"
"I'm used to it."
I just stared at the stars, the night was getting colder and I shivered. I was getting a little bit sleepy. He straightened his back and suddenly lifted me.
"C'mon let's get you to bed."
"I can walk you know."
"Yeah but it would take us hours from here to your bed."
"HAHA."
He carried me and gently placed me on the bed. He tucked me in and turned out the lights and opened the door.
"Goodnight," he whispered, "sleep well."
He gave me one last smile then closed the door. Everything went black.
