May woke up to see bright brown eyes staring back at her. She jumped in surprise and accidentally smacked the head in front of her with her own head. The person fell off of May's bed with a thump.

"Ugh. . . my head." said who May now realizes was Vivian.

"Well next time don't stare me down with your face right in front of mine while I sleep."

"Fair," Vivian said, "But I had an idea and I wanted to talk to you about it."

May rolled her eyes but listened to Vivian's plan. Her eyes lit up when Vivan finished.

"Guys Guys Guys!" May yelled when she got to the main living space of their dorms. "Let's have a picnic!"

"Yes! Picnic time!" Thomas pumped his fists in the air.

"Zach! Are you in?" Vivian asked. Zach only groaned in response.

"Zaaaach" Thomas kneeled in front of Zach and pleaded "Pleaseeeeee" with the best puppy eyes he could manage (which weren't that great but he tried)

Zach stared at Thomas with a grimace until he rolled his eyes and said "Fine, just don't do. . . that again."

Everyone aside from Zach cheered and they all left to get as much 'picnic' related stuff they could find.

It was an hour later when they finally got outside. It was warm for the November day and the sun was shining brightly. To May it smelled like sweet grass and evergreen trees, the sweet smells made her mood even brighter. Vivian pointed to an area about a hundred feet from the treeline and freshwater lake where no one was around and said "Let's sit over there."

When they got to the spot they realized that it was the perfect place. Shade from the tall trees just reached their area, but it was also very sunny and made May's skin warm. The lake had a sweet smell to it that wafted over the area. May also realized that there was a cool breeze as well. A perfect day.

Lyndsey, who they had seen on the way outside and she decided to join the group, had already set up the blanket to sit on. Zach set down the food he was carrying in the middle of the blanket and everyone sat down around the basket and went for the food. Vivian was the first one to get a sandwich and was triumphantly munching away. May was facing her and she looked up to see Vivian peering curiously at something behind May. She was about to look behind her when she saw Vivian's face light up and she yelled "Hey Lovebirds!"
May, Thomas, Zach, and Lyndsey all looked in the direction of Vivian's yell to see Jaiden and Henry sitting with each other. Henry was leaning on Jaiden while reading and Jaiden was leaning on a tree looking quizzically in their direction. "Wanna join us?" Vivian yelled "We have food!"

With that 'food' comment Jaiden grinned and nudged Henry slightly so he would look up. Jaiden said something to Henry that May couldn't quite make out because of the distance but she saw Henry nod. Both of them got up and jogged over to them, both of them sitting side by side in between Thomas and May. Once they had gotten settled May realized Lyndsey had never met Henry. "Lyndsey," she said "this is Henry, by the way."

Henry looked up from grabbing food for himself and waved shyly. "Yes! Lyndsey, Henry. Henry, Lyndsey. Introduction done. Food now." Jaiden quickly said before grabbing a sandwich. Henry hit him playfully "Don't be rude, Jaiden."

In the span of time from Jaiden talking to Henry finishing his comment Jaiden had already stuffed his mouth with food. May giggled when Jaiden retorted saying "That's not rude! I was hungry!" with a stuffed mouth.
Henry wrinkled his nose in disgust. "You're just proving my point."

"You know you love me."

Henry huffed exasperatedly, and May could just make out a bit of redness in his cheeks.

"Hey lovebirds," Vivian called. " Food now. Bickering later."

May laughed and soon everyone joined in, and for the first time ever the entire group was together.
