First Time in an NFL Game, Kinda Nervous lol - Chapter 4

"Hey, Zaddy!"

When Zyatt was walking out to warm-ups, that shit was not what he was expecting.

"Uh, me?" He glanced around before pointing at himself.

A teenage girl stood in the stands, smiling at him. "Well, I don't see any other young and sexy NFL players around here."

Zyatt stared at her.

"What the fuck?" He said. The girl just giggled.

"My snap is-" Her voice got louder as he turned to walk off. "-dunnhearted! Like Vince Dunn! Add me!"

Frank Clark whistled when Zyatt walked over. "Little bro's got girls falling over each other for him and doesn't flirt with any of them? Damn!" He slapped Zyatt on the shoulder, making the young receiver flinch. His other teammates laughed.

Zyatt blushed, the tips of his ears turning red. "Look, I'm not used to all this attention. I've had a few people interested in me but not..." His voice trailed off as he picked at his cuticles. "Not like this." He finished.

Sammy pushed Frank away from the rookie. "Leave him alone, guys. You know he doesn't like a ton of attention." He patted Zyatt soothingly on the back.

Schwartz laughed. "Wow, a skill position that doesn't love attention? Pigs are flying, everyone!"

A few coaches came over, finally breaking up the large group. "Come on y'all, time to warm-up and stretch," Bienimy reminded everyone. The team dispersed, letting Zyatt breathe.

Zyatt was casually stretching, looking through the crowd to see if there was anyone famous."Oh my fucking god," He said out loud. His gaze had landed on someone who looked exactly like the singer, actor, and equestrian Tasunka Jlassi.

Also known as one of Zyatt's biggest celebrity crushes.

Tyreek looked at him. "What, you see someone famous?" The older wide receiver asked, craning his neck to look where Zyatt was looking.

"That's fucking Tasunka Jlassi!" Zyatt said excitedly, pointing. "My bisexual heart can't take it."

Tyreek blinked. "Who? Wait, did you just come out to me? I'm confused."

Zyatt rolled his eyes. "I literally have the bi flag as my phone background and you've stolen my phone enough to have to had noticed. But anyway, Tasunka! He's been in two Marvel movies, bisexual icon, literally has written and sang so many beautiful songs that I can recognize his voice. I have a crush on him. He's hot."

Tyreek stared as Zyatt began rambling about the horse the other teenage celebrity rode. He leaned over to whisper in Mecole's ear, who was also staring at him. "Have I ever been that bad for someone?"

"Yeah, you have."

Zyatt stood back to take the first kickoff. Mecole stood across the field from him, so Zyatt prayed they would kick it to Mecole and not to him.

Of course, God decided he hated Zyatt today and the ball was kicked directly to him.

"Shit, shit, shit," Zyatt swore as he took two steps forward to catch the ball. He ducked away from a tackle and took off, muttering to himself the whole time. Mostly just 'oh my god's and cursing as he broke tackles. As he broke forward, trying to not step out of bounds, he took a moment to praise himself for not getting tackled by the kicker. Sprinting downfield, he barreled through a Texans special teamer and into the end zone.

He held the ball to his chest, smiling. "Holy shit, I just did that."

Mecole nearly ran him over in his excitement. "Zyatt! Zyatt!" The wide receiver yelled, laughing. Zyatt got buried underneath a hoard of Chiefs players. When they made their way off the field, Zyatt was greeted by nearly getting tackled by Mahomes, other players slapping his helmet and shoulders.

"I can't believe you did that," Toub said. Zyatt grinned at the special teams' coach.

"I'm just built different," He said, shrugging.

Tyreek and Byron laughed, jumping onto the young receiver. "We're gonna win this game. Our boy is about to run special teamers over for tuddy after tuddy," Tyreek crowed.

Zyatt giggled. "Hell yeah. I'm coming for that special team's record."

Clyde, L'Jarius, and Zyatt took this game to make a name for themselves.

Zyatt ended the game with a kickoff return touchdown, a receiving touchdown, three receptions for 64 yards, two tackles, and a pass deflection.

Making the entirety of NFL Twitter either hate him or love him.

Especially after he posted a TikTok dance with the game ball and the caption "I'm comin' for those rookie of the year titles".

Tyreek slapped his back after he posted the TikTok. "Yo, I heard your Tasunka friend is coming to the locker room. Go flirt or whatever teenagers do these days."

Zyatt blinked. "Does COVID even allow that?"

"Probably not- there he is!"

Zyatt yelped as he was shoved toward the teenage celebrity. He glared at Tyreek, mouthing 'I hate you.' He turned and smiled at Tasunka. "Hey, I'm Zyatt," He greeted, holding out his hand.

"I know," Tasunka replied, grinning.

Anthony yanked a shirt over his head, yelling, "Zyatt needs friends! You should become friends with him!"

Zyatt threw one of Harrison's cleats at him. "I have a friend!" He said.

"Emphasis on 'a friend'," Patrick said as he squirmed in between Sammy and Tyreek who were openly gawking at the two teenagers and whispering to each other.

"Hey, Lily is my friend, too!"

"Yeah, after you flirted with her for a solid ten minutes and then she turned you down," Mecole said back.

"She's gay! I had no chance! And aren't y'all my friends?" Zyatt said in mock-offense.

"Yeah but you need friends your own age," Patrick said, walking over and ruffling Zyatt's hair. "You're young, rich, and famous. It'll be easy."

Zyatt slapped his hand away. "Do you know how hard it is to make sane friends!? Most young celebrities go out and break COVID rules and are performative activists. We do not stan."

Tasunka nodded. "Yeah, it's not cool. They seem nice on camera but off-screen you realize they don't give a shit about anyone or anything but themselves and money."

Zyatt grinned at him. "I think our views match up."

Tasunka smiled back. "Yeah, we're gonna be great friends."

"Great, wanna meet my friend Nzuri and make a TikTok?"

"Bet."
