Sadie's P.O.V

Wow. I can't believe it. Two days after graduating and me and my friends are stuck on an island. I'm "partnered" up with ally to find supplies, but so far there's only trees and grass.
"We should rest for a while." ally says. "It's been like, three hours since we started exploring."
"2 hours 38 minutes, actually." I reply. She rolls her eyes. I'm weird like that. Without trying, I can memorize facts and stuff like that. But I'm not as good as Ally.she remembers pictures, maps, entire pages if books, and much much more. That's why she graduated early. ally is only 17 yet is still way smarter than me.

Just as I am beginning to doze off luke bursts through the bushes, scaring the crap out of me.
"AHH! oh, it's just you." I say.
"Guess what I just found!" he exclaims.
"What?" ally asks, wiping the dirt off her pants.
"Just come with me." luke orders.
Five minutes and two encounters with a snake later, we reach a big opening, with a body of water in the middle.
"So what? it's a big pond." I tell luke.
"I'm pretty sure it's a small lake, actually." he tells me. No. it's a big pond. as we continue to argue, ally taps me on the shoulder.
"Sadie, this isn't salt water. you can drink it. you know what that means?"
I shrug. "What?"
"If we have food, all we need is water. and if we can drink this water..."
Luke interrupts her.
"It means we're gonna live!!!" Luke hugs ally, making it kind of awkward for me.
"You're so smart ally!" he says.
"Hey, c'mon guys. we should tell the others." I say. so we head back.
As we return to the shore Donny runs up to ally and hugs her.
"Omygod guys ! I thought you were dead!" Donny says to us. Him and narcissa, one of my other friends, are cousins, though I don't really understand how. Donny has dark skin while narcissa is barely tanned.
"Well, we are here now. Luke found some drinkable water, so that's a plus." I say.
"Well there's only one thing to do now," Isabelle says. I didn't even notice her standing right beside me. Whoops.
"What's that?" Luke asks.
"Isn't it obvious?" I ask and I poke him in the shoulder.
Then me, Isabelle, Donny , ally, abd narcissa all yell:
"We eat!!!".
and we head towards the fire Seth and narcissa built to feast on berrys, fruit, coconut, and nuts. Don't forget the beautiful sunset. despite the fact thy we are stranded on an island, that doesn't stop us from singing campfire songs and laughing at each others (Terrible) puns. That's when I realized everything was going to be ok.
