Alex's POV

It's already dark. I opened the LED lights inside my room, was about to grab my headphones when I saw blood on my hand. Made me freeze for a moment. I thoroughly scanned my hand to see if I was injured or something, "Phew, it wasn't my blood." ...Wait, it wasn't my blood? I heard a noise outside my window as if someone just tripped. Oh my gosh. I found myself rushing towards the window and opening it with much concern, "Are you alright?". What an idiotic question, Alex! Of course, he's not alright. I scolded myself, mentally. Jumping out of the window is kind of my expertise.

Caleb turns his gaze on me, with his left eye closed. That must have been the injured spot. He groans heavily, obviously in pain. "Look who decided to come back", sarcastically smirking at me.

Gorgeous greenish eyes. Walking closer to him, closing our gap, gently caressing his face to have a better look at his left eye. Just what did I do? I'm totally guilty about this. I saw droplets of blood on his white shirt. Oh no. His eyes were a bit teary, causing me to feel extreme guilt. Am I seeing things? Or his eyes actually glimmered. "Hey, dude?", gently damping my handkerchief on his eyelids, talking to him. Caleb closed his eyes savoring this moment of sincerity.

Raising his brows, "Hmm?", giving me a soft and quick smile, still closing his eyes.

I took the opportunity and moment to examine his face. His thick and messy eyebrows, his long curvy eyelashes. For the love of God, I wish I had long lashes too. I pouted. Stealing a glance at his nose, and wow even his nose is perfect and his lips too! He looks so perfect! This is just so unfair!

He winced a little, "What were you about to say?", he asks, slowly opening his eyes. The moonlight shot his greenish eyes making his gaze more...gorgeous.

The moment our eyes met sent shivers down to my spine, it's as if our first time seeing each other. We went silent. For that moment I couldn't hear the slow gushing of wind in the air anymore, or the sound of moving vehicles, or the tiny noises that the creatures of the night provide. Just the abnormal beating of my heart. It's loud. I could feel it increasing its pace, pumping more blood, and ending up in my facial area. My cheeks are warming, while his greenish pair of orbs were still locked on me.

The headlights of a familiar vehicle and boisterous people, made us snap out of ourselves. "Oh-uh, my family's here already, I assume you are now alright?", I asked awkwardly, he nodded in response. Scratching my head and slowly distancing myself. "So- uh...I'm gonna go now...bye" giving him a quick awkward smile, and slightly bowing my head.

"Wait." He said while grabbing my hand. "What were you about to say? I-I want to know" letting go of my hand and scratching his head.

My eyes, once again, meet his. I knew he yawned a while ago, causing his eyes to be watery. But I didn't expect it to be enchanted. I saw my own reflection in his own eyes. All I can is me in his greenish eyes, only me. It was as if I was holding a Kaleidoscope toy and was directly seeing unto it. This isn't good for the heart, Caleb Winchester!

I opened my mouth trying to deliver what I was about to say.

His pupils darkened in anticipation.

"I just wanted to apologize. I was being rude to you" I sounded like an embarrassed kitten. "Sorry." Lowering my gaze.

He giggled, "Hey, it's okay" kicking the pebble, playfully. "Plus," he is now slowly walking away from me. "I enjoyed the view," he said with a pleasing smile plastered on his face.

As he entered their balcony, he glanced back at me. "Good night, Hazel-brown eyes!" waving his left hand.

I blushed in an instant. "Was he thinking about that too? The eyes?"
