Koa sat up from his bed softy, his light just got turned on by his foster mother and his eyes were still adjusting to the aggressive light. His feet touched the soft carpet that was on the floor. He gently got up out of bed and walked towards his large and quite full wardrobe and picked out a pair of black skinny jeans, they looked quite worn almost like they have been around for years. The next thing Koa picked out was just a plain black hoodie which the sleeves at the bottom looked as they had been chewed up by some form of dog. Koa looked at the sleeves and laughed to himself a little "I should really stop chewing the ends off my sleeves" he spoke quietly and softly to himself almost like a little mouse. He softly walked over to his shoes and picked out a pair of white vans that had mud on them, They weren't really white at this point. Walking into the bathroom he looked around at all the decorations on the wall. He was always confused about why people decorated their houses he guessed that he never really would understand he chuckled to himself. Koa has always been kind of moved around thanks to the foster system but everywhere he went it always kind of looked familiar to him and he never understood why. Koa shook his head and changed into his clothes he walked downstairs and straight out of the front door he didn't want to speak to his foster parents not like they spoke to each other anyway. Dragging himself into the school he looked around at the busy halls and saw everything as if it was moving twice as fast, he walked to his locker and opened it up grabbing some of the school books that he needed for his first two classes. He watched everyone walk around and talk everything seemed loud and rushed but also blurred and the voices sounded like white noise, he felt panicked and rushed but before he could pull himself together he heard a voice one that sounded familiar the voice spoke "Koa?" Koa looked around confusedly nobody should know him here, he was new this was meant to be starting a new chapter in his life after everything that happened before...
He looked over to where this voice was coming from and there was this guy he was standing tall probably around 5 foot 11, he had red hair and brown eyes his skin looked soft and his smile was as bright as the sun. Koa looked at this guy recognising him, he thought to himself 'it couldn't be him.' This guy ran over to Koa embracing him in his arms smiling. A small smile escaped onto Koa's face as Koa hugged him back a little. It had been a while since Koa had been held like this by anyone, it felt nice it was warm and it made him happy. Koa spoke up "Wyatt what are you doing here?" Wyatt and Koa had been online friends for about a year now they always called and texted Wyatt was Koa's only friend for a while. Koa never really socialized with anyone because most people actually scared him. Wyatt smiled like the happy person he is and spoke "I go to school here I thought you knew" "of course I didn't know. We never really spoke about it." Koa spoke pulling away from the hug he looked up at Wyatt only a little, Their height difference wasn't big but Wyatt was a few inches taller than Koa. "I'm not going to stay I'm just going to go back to my place. I don't really fancy being here right now" koa always struggled with staying in school because he felt trapped, he felt like he was an escape artist that cant escape from the chains that's keeping him tied into the life he's been trapped in. Wyatt looked at him and replied, "That's okay, I'll come with you we can go back to mine if you want." "I mean only if you are sure, I don't want to be a bother or anything" "yeah I'm sure" Wyatt replied walking out off the school. They get back to Wyatt's house and Wyatt sat down, Koa looked around getting a little bit of a feel for his environment and he took in everything he had this sort of feeling like he was safe here. Koa hasn't felt safe in a very long time he hasn't felt this safe in a place for a very long time he stood there getting lost in his thoughts and Wyatt looked at him a bit worried that he was being so quiet, Koa was quite different in person. On calls, Koa was always this happy bundle of joy who would be laughing and making jokes. Wyatt sat their kind of studying Koa a little bit he was confused about what's up with Koa and why he was so quiet. Wyatt decided he was going to be the first one to speak up "you want something to eat?" Koa nodded yes as a response and Wyatt walked over to the kitchen he knows that Koa loves noodles so he checked to see if he had any in. he opened the cupboard door softly and looked around for some noodles and he saw that he didn't have any in and looked over at Koa "I don't have any in but we can go to the shop if you want" Koa looked at him and spoke up "yeah sure I don't really mind" Wyatt walked over the counter that's by the front door and grabs the car keys and walks out to his car, Koa followed behind closely they both got into the car and Wyatt started to drive. Koa placed his head onto the window yawning a little because he didn't get much sleep the night before because of the nightmares so he was pretty exhausted, Wyatt watched Koa out of the corner of his eyes he was still in disbelieve that he was here that they finally met. Wyatt pulled up at the store and got out of the car softly shutting the door so that he wouldn't damage the car, a few seconds after Koa also got out of the car his feet softly touching the ground and he looked around he hadn't been to this part of town so he stayed quite close to Wyatt as they both walked into the store. Koa looked around at everything and Wyatt walked straight towards the noodles as he already knew where they were. Koa continued to look around the store his gaze went over towards a counter and he saw a guy standing there he was in full black and had his hood over his face. Koa recognised this guy and he froze up in panic his chest started to get tight and he felt like he couldn't breathe. He backed up and his beck hit the wall, he felt like he was being hunted, he felt like he had no escape. Tears started to form in his eyes and they fell down his face. He started to shake like he was on a plane with horrible turbulence. Wyatt looked over and Koa and saw him he ran over and spoke "Koa are you okay? What's wrong" Koa just stood there still in disbelief, Wyatt wrapped his arms around Koa and pulls him into a hug. Koa just collapses in his arms and Wyatt sits down on the floor and holds him tightly, more tears flood from Koa's eyes and he speaks quietly "i- it can't be him"
