Chapter 21

SHEN WEI

We are now in a new place, again. After the most massive earthquake, so far, the building we stayed in unluckily crumbled down.

Everything happened too fast and I was able to use my power just to keep myself and Zhao Yunlan safe.

I knocked him off first before teleporting our bodies to a safer place. I don't want him to know that I am not exactly what he thinks I am.

I'm too scared of what his reaction might be. And I am not yet ready to tell him.

"Little Wei, I have something to tell you." he said while we were unpacking some goods we bought. His side profile still hits hard even though I got to see it almost everyday.

"What is it?"

"I don't know if you also felt like someone is watching. But I have felt it for weeks already. At first it was just outside our condo units. But I started feeling it inside your unit too, after days. I just want to let you know, because it really feels weird." he uttered with a serious expression.

I also felt those eyes and I knew where it came from or whose eyes those belong to. His long statement just made me think of what Hua Chuong told me in my dream.

I still hope that it was just a normal dream nothing more, nothing less.

"Little Wei? Shen Wei!?"

I blinked a few times and adjusted my spectacles.

"Yes, I felt it as well. And you're right, it's truly weird." I replied, avoiding his gaze.

"Are you alright?" he asked, getting near me and making me face him.

"I'm good. I just remembered something and a little bit tired."

"You go rest, then. Let me do this."

"I-It's okay. I can still do it. Let's just finish this and rest together." I suggested which he followed.

When we were having a rest on a bed. My mind was full of thoughts about what Hua Chuong told me. Although I doubt that it was true, I just couldn't help myself from thinking about it.

It's also possible that everything was true. Knowing Hua Chuong's capabilities, he can go through anyone's dream on his own will.

"Hey, you spaced out again." Zhao Yunlan took my attention by squeezing a side my cheek.

"Were you saying something? I'm sorry." I immediately gathered myself.

He smiled at me and I hate that it made my heart feel pain. Why did that smile made me feel like crying? Chuong's words kept on playing in my mind.

"Just tell me if there's anything that troubles you. Come on, I'm here. I'm your boyfriend."

I hate this feeling.

I don't want to feel this.

I smiled at him while nodding. He moved his face closer to mine and our lips met.

I can feel my heart throbbing. In the middle of our kiss, he held my neck tighter while pulling me closer and started kissing me deeply.
