"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Everyone has a tattoo that tells you what pack your in. Here." He took off his shirt and turned around. His back showed half moon, half sun, put together. That was the moonlit sign.I walked closer to him and I couldn't help but touch it. He flinched. which made me smile. His skin was soft beneath my fingers. The tattoo was amazing. I had never seen anything like it.
"Woah...." I whispered. He turned around and my hand dropped to my side. "So. What's yours?" He asked. "I-I don't know. Or where is at." I said. He smiled. "Most girls have it either on their back or stomach." I raised up my bright blue tank top and it wasn't there. I put it back down.
"Nope." I said. "Then your going to have to take our shirt off." "Here?" I asked. He still smiled. "Yes. Don't worry, I've already found my mate. I'm not going to touch you." Mate? Um...okay. I pushed the thought away and turned around.
I slid my shirt off and held it in my hand. I could tell he walked closer. We were both quiet a minute.
"Put your shirt back on." He said. He didn't sound as playful as he had before. I did and turned around. "What is it?" I asked.
"I-I don't know." What? How can he not know? "How?" I asked. "I've never seen that tattoo before." He said. "What is it?"He sighed before answering. "A silver sword with a snake wrapped around it." Wait a
Minute.....I've seen that before. I don't know wither its before I woke up or in between. "I've seen that before." I whispered looking at the ground."What? What is it!?" He sounded exited at a new discovery. "I don't know. I think it was before I woke up. And I don't remember anything. Is that normal?" I asked. "Yes Tina. It happens to everyone. We all wake up with faint memory's. don't worry."
"Oh....well do you know someone that might know what it is?" I asked. "Yea. Come on." He grabbed my wrist and started pulling me somewhere. We walked through the hustle of the streets.
People ran in wolf form along the road. Racing each other. People on the sidewalk would walk by me and give me different faces. It kinda scared me."So, what's this place exactly? Everyone here is a wolf." I said. "Yea. I know. Somehow it's like that. Don't know really."
We were walking side by side now. "Well.....why is some of these people giving me weird looks?" I asked. He smiled and shook his head. "Dot you listen? Their breeders. They probably want to take you. They like pretty girls." Did he just complement me?
"You think in pretty?" I asked with a sarcastic tone. "Yea. As a moonlit, I'm not aloud to lie." He stated. "Yea. But you can keep your mouth shut." He looked over at me from the side. "Couldn't help it." He said. I shook my head and turned away from him.
"So what about the mate thing?" I asked. "Well, everyone has a mate. Your bound to them and you don't want anyone but them. Your also bound o spend your life with them. But you have to meet them and know who they are. You'll know when you meet them."
That was nice to know. So not only did someone put me here with no memory, but they also picked my lover for me. Nice.
"So you don't get any say on who you stay with?" I asked. He sighed. "Nope. Sadly." Some girl ran into me and tried pushing me. I grabbed her wrist be jade I could see what she was going to do. Se gasped as I pushed her back and a wolf ran into her.
"Oops." I said. "Just keep walking." He said grabbing my shoulders. We started walking faster. But it just made it more tempting to run. (Don't do that Tiff. You need to stay with him.) my wolf told me. (He probably can run faster than me.) I told it.
(No. You can. Trust me. Don't run.) fine! I wasn't sure if my wolf could hear, but whatever.
"What about your mate? Where is she?" I asked. He sighed and shook his head. "She's.....she doesn't want me." He said sadly. "What do you mean? I thought-" "yea but her family doesn't believe in that stuff. They find their own mate. Stupid." He whispered that last word under his breath.
"I-I'm sorry." I stammered. He shook his head again and looked Up from the ground. Trying to perk himself into a better mood. "It's over now. She won't change her mind. She hasn't in the last two years." He said.
"Two years? How old are you?" I asked. "I'm twenty. She's nineteen. What about you?" He asked looking away from ahead of him, to me. "Eighteen. I think." I said.
Our eyes locked for a spilt second before I looked away. "So....are we almost there?" I asked. He smiled and nodded. "Do trees grow in dirt?" Yea. I smiled and laughed a little. "Smarty." I said.
He was right though. We got to his building and went inside jut a few minutes after that. He grabbed my shoulder and lead me through the bright hallways. Then walked into a room.
It was a small room with two men sitting at a round table. Liam pulled out two chairs and pulled them to the table. "Sit down". He whispered. I nodded and sat down beside him, in front of the two scary looking men.
One had no hair at all. The other had long dreads that almost reached the floor when he sat down. Both men had dark brown skin.
"Hello master setntra. I have the new comer." Liam said. The bald guy nodded once. Who I had just figured it his name was setntra."I see. What is her pack?" He asked. His voice scared the living shot out of me. And that was just him talking normal. I guess all the leaders of the packs are like that.
"Well......I don't know." Liam said. Setntra leaned forward in his seat. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Her tattoo doesn't resemble any of the packs." Setntra nodded again and leaned back in his seat. "Leave Bryan." He said.
The other guy stood and gave me and Liam a mean look before stomping out of the room. "You are in deep trouble Liam." He said. "Me and your father already told you once not to get the new comers. Your not ready yet. Yet you still do it. Why?"
"Setntra. I didn't know she was coming today. I was walking around the woods and saw her. But I'm sorry." What? But he didn't do anything. "What's your name girl?" He asked me.
"Uh, Tiffany. But I liked to be called Tina." I said. I could even hear the fear in my voice. "Well Tiffany, you are in a pack that is very rare. Very strong. Very powerful. They are very rare and I've only seen two people ever been a nightshade. Your the third."
