9lives' chapter nine

Its Thursday and hyunjae is sick.

  No, not from any cold or flu, but from the thought of today being their last full day together. He did think long and hard about having a long distance relationship but the idea of being with someone and not having the ability to have them there, just drives him insane.

He tries to keep his thoughts positive at the daycare because after work he plans to spend the rest of the day with the one person he loves. It was hard though, and his coworkers could senses that too, often giving him a rub on the shoulder. 

Thankfully, it was a half day and work ended at 2. He checked his phone to see a message from juyeon.   

Juju on that yeon 

Hey,

 shoot ends in about 5 minutes, i'm all yours  

Hyunjae smiled, already prepared for the day. 

Hyunjae ~ 

yay! 

umm quick question though 

yeah?

How long are you willing to stay up?

as long as you want me to.

good

meet me at the park by my house. 

He shoved his phone in his pocket and spirited back home. He flung the door open to change into something more comfortable and made way to the park. 

He waited for some minutes before he saw a head of blue hair. He smiled from cheek to cheek as he ran over to him. 

"Hey beauty, is this first on the list?" Juyeon asked when they hugged. 

" Yup, Today is the annual petting zoo, thought it would be great for starters!" He yelled, hands motioning to many animals . 

They walked up and down, petting and holding various animals. They took pictures of two specific cats sleeping in their cage." Hey, that one looks like you," juyeon said pointing to a small cat with orange fur. 

" And you, look like the dog we saw earlier, just didn't want to say it," Hyunjae said back as he took a picture of him petting the cats. 

They laughed and decided to leave since the zoo was closing. " If I was a cat, I would use all nine of my lives to meet you again," Hyunjae said quietly. He knows cats don't actually have nine lives but if they did, he meant what he said. 

Juyeon grinned looking down at their intertwined hands.

Stop number two was karaoke. Heading to the place was about a 15 minutes stroll, but it was nice. Just walking in the summer breeze with the sound of nature. Hyunjae was more so happy now, even if time was moving too fast for his liking, he was happy to have him here still.

They bought a room for 2 hours to make the best of it. Hyunjae started singing first, confident in his singing skills. He sung a song by iu, staring juyeon directly in the eyes as he voiced the lyrics. 

I remember our first kiss 

Every time, I close my eyes

And it takes me away to the farthest place 

The lyrics felt like everything their relationship was. While it might of had different meaning to who sung it, to him, it was about the moments they shared in the short time together. 

When the song ended, juyeon clapped and commented," That was amazing, beauty. Why aren't you a singer?" 

Hyunjae shrugged, wiping away threating tears, " Before I moved, I was a trainee. Had to give up on that too," 

Juyeon pulled him into a hearty hug, placing a kiss to his temple. They stayed like that for a little longer before juyeon attempts to bring the mood back up. The song he chooses is an classic, made by the one and only. Gangnam style by psy. 

He sings the song with so much silliness until he sees hyunjae smile again. 2 hours go by extremely fast and their time was already up.   

 The next stop was a bowling ally. The walk was short, arriving in 5 minutes and getting shoes in 2. 

"Alright, whoever loses has to by the other want ever they want," Hyunjae proposes. 

" Deal," Juyeon says and picks up his ball. He stands in the middle of the lane, brings the ball to his chest and swings fast but sharply; very professionally and clean.   

Everything was there. the form, the technique , the speed. Heck, even hyunjae was surprised. The ball slowly starts to drifts and...

Gutter 

Hyunjae breaks out into a fit of uncontrollable laughter while juyeon stands in disbelief. It was hyunjae's turn now and with a less mature form, he swings the ball to the middle and earns a-

Strike!

The hovering score board displays in big letters. Juyeon though this was ludicrous and immediately went to roll again as hyunjae laid back on the couch. Same form with some minor changes and still, gutter. 

Juyeon ruffled his hair in shock and thinks he might be losing at this rate. The game continues for another hour as the results tally in. The two waited as their scores were being finalized. two seconds later and there it was in big, bold words, Player Hyunjae Wins!

Hyunjae starts cheering and jumping over to juyeon. " Lets go to dinner now, its kinda late. How about spaghetti?" Juyeon asked, dismissing his failure. 

They walked to a restaurant with few people. The inside was beautiful but simple, giving off a warm aura. The two sat in a booth, facing each other. "Hi, Welcome to Dinner Club. I'll be your server Jacob, tonight," the boy said placing menus and silverware down. 

The couple ordered their food and waited. It was almost 11 and after dinner, hyunjae had one more place left. 

...

Dinner went well, with juyeon wiping off some sauce from hyunjaes lips too. The night was coming to an end and although hyunjae wanted it to last longer, he also wanted juyeon to get some sleep. 

The duo walked to the beach and sat near the water. It was now midnight and it was just them. 

"Are you sure you can stay up, you can leave if you want," Hyunjae said. 

"No, I'm staying. My flight doesn't leave until 9, its fine," juyeon said, facing him.  

He stared at the other, taking in all his features. The tiny mole on his nose, his thin pink lips, and his almond eyes that gleamed in the moonlight like pearls. The bright moon above them and the ocean sounds only added to the euphoria. 

" Yah, stop staring at me," Juyeon suddenly heard. 

He smiled looking away," Sorry, its just, your eyes hold the ocean in them,"

Hyunjae giggled as juyeon began to talk again.

"Hey,  can I show you something?" 

He pulled out a small box, not waiting for a responds. Hyunjae's face let up instantly as tears filled his eyes. It was a ring. 

"I wanted to get you something for you to remember me by. I don't know how long i'll be gone or get the chance to come back but I promise I will," He finished, sliding the ring on. Then, holding his on hand to show the same ring. 

Hyunjae couldn't take it anymore and kissed juyeon with so much passion. 

" I'll miss you so much, ju, so much,"
