It was now Thursday, the day where Lincoln and Steve would leave behind their old lives in the United States and move to the Philipines to escape the law and end their crime lives.
Both men were nervous and anxious, especially Lincoln who had a family, school, and friends. Neither of the companions had their best friends anymore, as Lynn had killed Clyde, and Steve's best friend John had been dead for years.
They still missed their friends severely, and to make matters worse, Zach, Liam, and Rusty, who were Lincoln's [old] friends, were no longer happy with him after they found at that his sister murdered Clyde and that Lincoln nearly killed Chandler.
They had no choice, though. The law was quickly catching up to them, and if they didn't leave the country soon, they would definitely face the death penalty, except maybe Lincoln would face life in prison with no bail, but both possibilities were horrifying to think of.
"Ready, amigo?" Steve sadly asked Lincoln.
"I guess, I mean what other choice do we have?" Lincoln answered.
Soon they left the hotel room and walked to the parking lot where they would enter Vanzilla and head to a few destinations before heading to the airport, where they would board the plane and go to the Philippines.
"Where to first?" Steve questioned Lincoln as they got into the van.
"Sunset Canyon Retirement Home. I have to say goodbye to Pop Pop, who gave me the best advice, other than Clyde," Lincoln explained.
As Vanzilla approached the building, Lincoln began to feel tears form in his eyes. This might be the last time he ever sees Pop Pop and/or talks to him.
The men entered the building, and thanks to the new appearances, Sue didn't know it was Lincoln. He had been banned from this place on Sunday due to Lincoln assaulting Sue.
"Good morning, gentlemen!" Sue greeted the duo.
"Same to you, lady!" Steve replied. The men walked down the hallway and entered an elevator where Lincoln told Steve the room number was B-39.
Once the elevator stopped on the second floor, they exited and walked towards the room. Lincoln knocked on the right room and then Pop Pop opened it and his eyes grew with shocked and excited looks.
"Lincoln?" Pop Pop began to say, but Lincoln kind of pushed him into the room so that Sue didn't hear or see them.
Once everybody was in the room and the door was shut, Pop Pop asked Lincoln "Who is this?"
"This is Steve. He took care of me when I was kidnapped on Monday night. I was heading to the abandoned factory as you told me to, but then some gang banger kidnapped me, but not Steve. Long story short, he looked after me, and then we left home after we were unwanted, again," Lincoln explained to his grandfather.
Pop Pop nodded his head and then asked "What's with the disguises?"
"We're wanted for about 200 murders over the course of 3 days," Steve chuckled.
Pop Pop became scared and then yelled "WHAT?! Lincoln, please tell me he's joking!!"
Lincoln frowned and then assured "He's right. We killed a lot of traitors and mobsters, and now that's why we're here. We have to leave the US, and we're going to the Philippines."
Pop Pop shook his head, not believing anything they said. "Wait, seriously?" He said.
Steve and Lincoln nodded back, confirming it. Pop Pop dug his head in his palms and then looked back up with a serious look and said "Lincoln, whatever happens, I'll always love you. Don't forget. I'll miss you. Does your family know?"
