A/N - Hello dear Readers. Quick note: Feel free to correct any mistake I've made. It helps me improve as well as making the story more 'readable'. Btw this is pure fluff.
Enjoy!

{Matthew pov}

I came home from a long day at work, the sun was just starting to set. I set down my messenger bag and walked over to the couch where my boyfriend was sitting. He moved his arm around me, allowing me to rest my head on his shoulder and greeted me with a "Hello, my sunflower." I simply replied with a kiss to his cheek. Resting my head on his shoulder I quickly drifted into sleep.

I had woken up and with a glance at the clock it was clear that I had been asleep for only 15 minutes. I noticed that Ivan still had his arm around me, my head on his shoulder and with his other hand he was reading a book. A book from my company to be exact. I haven't mentioned it before but I work as an editor. Ivan would usually read the works I've edited, he didn't care if it was a book or simply an article. Sometimes he wouldn't actually read a full book but instead only the first chapter and would then stop since it wasn't peaking his interest. I'm never mad at him but he always says that he's sorry. He really is such a sweetheart. He respects me and my boundaries and waited for me. It took half a year of our relationship until we kissed. Well of course there were occasional kisses on my cheek or forehead but never the lips. He waited until I was ready and when I was he didn't kiss me quickly or passionately but instead it was a soft, slow kiss. He was really careful. And no we haven't done 'that'.

He noticed that I was awake and put the bookmark that I gave him for Valentine's day into the book. It was a wide yellow strip with a sunflower on the top and if the book was the right size, such as the one he had just now, it looked as if there was a sunflower growing from the book. He really loves sunflowers. "Matvey?" he called my name. He is Russian so he calls my name, Matthew, in the Russian version 'Matvey'. I slowly glance up at him, showing him that I'm listening. "Your face is read, are you ok?" he asked softly. Ah, I must be a blushing mess after remembering all of our fond memories together. "Yes." I answered back quickly. He softly pressed his cheek on my forehead and just simply noted "No. Your head is warm. Do you want some ice cream?" And at the word ice cream my eyes must've lit up since he only gave a chuckle as a response.

I hoped up and walked over to the kitchen to open the freezer. I grabbed the first pack of ice cream that stood there but it felt rather light. I opened it only to find it empty of said dessert. But instead the container held a small item that I didn't expect.

A ring.

I picked it up between my thumb and pointer finger and carefully inspected it. I hadn't even noticed that Ivan had walked into the kitchen and was now in front of me. The gently took the ring from my fingers and looked me straight in the eyes. And with the setting sun shining though the windows they looked simply mesmerizing. He had a rare eye condition where is eyes were more of a purple than a blue. And in certain lightings, such as our current one, they shimmered in a beautiful mix of blue and purple. I sucked in a shaky breath as he began to talk.

"Matthew, you have really changed my life. Before I met you everything was grey and I was lonely but you showed me how beautiful life can be. You are my sunlight, my angel and the day we became a couple I promised to myself that I would try to keep you in my life forever. And I think with this you will, or at least I hope so. I love you more that anything in this world." He paused and got down on one knee holding the ring up. He took my right hand as I gasped and covered my mouth with my left, tears springing to my eyes. Then, he said the words I've always wished for someone to say to me.

"Matthew Williams, will you marry me?

I took in a sharp breath as I felt tears slowly sliding down my face. I threw myself around him as I let out a shaky yes followed by breathy laughs. He put the ring onto my left ringfinger and pulled me close by my waist. We looked into each others eyes with a happy grin on our faces for what felt like years but must've been only a few minutes in real life. Ivan pulled me closer, well if that was even possible, and gave me a soft kiss on my lips. I kissed back and when we broke apart we just held each other close. My head resting on his chest and his head resting on mine.

"I love you so much, Ivan." I said softly.

And with a soft voice he replied "I love you to, my precious Sunflower."

Should I write more One-Shots? They are short and I'm a lazy person and I'm horrible at thinking of plotlines. I have story ideas but plotlines.. Ahh well.

Anyways I hope you enjoy and mabey we'll see each other again.
