The day before

Julian POV
My baby birthday is tomorrow but she just thinks we're going out to eat. Little do she know that we're having a small get together for her as well. Her brothers took it upon themselves to invite her father which I'm really nervous about. What if he is as violent as the rest of these mofos? What if this man try to kill me? My baby always tells me about him and by the looks of it he's really nice but, I'm pretty sure he's gonna act completely different if he meets me.

Her brothers invited her family as well and the person I'm the most scared to meet is her aunt Theresa. She told me she was always the strict mean one. Her uncle Joe too, omg. She told me he likes to hit people. Come to think of it I think that's where she gets it from.

I'm currently at Publix putting in the order for baby's cake. Her dad is going to bring her 2 favorite foods, shrimp Alfredo and corned beef as rice. Her aunt is bringing Mac and cheese. Her uncle is bringing chicken and ribs. Her cousins are bringing dirty rice and baled beans.
I decide as I wait for the cake to be ready to get some sodas and ice so I won't have to pick them up tomorrow, as well as a few snacks for her since I know she's running low.

As I was looking for her apple juice somebody bumps into my cart. I look up and see a pair of greenish-blue eyes that look oddly familiar. I must've been staring for too long cause he asked me

"Do I know you?"

"No but you do look familiar. What's your name?"

"My name is Mike" he said

My heart starts beating 10 miles a minute.

"You ok there?" He asked

"Mr. Greene how are you? I'm Julian"

His eyes widen and he looks at me in shock which makes me even more nervous.

"Oh so you're the young man my daughter has been talking about? How ya doing son" he stuck out his hand for me to shake.

" I'm quite alright I can't complain"

"Well I can't give you the dad talk in the middle of Publix so I'll just wait till tomorrow. Party starts at 6 right?" He smiled as if he knew I was scared.

"U-um yes sir at 6"

"Oh don't call me sir, you can call me dad"
He patted my back and walked away. He's a lot shorter than I imagined but the man is still scary as hell. I couldn't help but imagine what he wants to talk to me about tomorrow.

I pick baby up some apple juice, some chips, some hot sausages and a lot of other stuff she like. I was looking for Hershey's when somebody else bumped into my cart.

I look up and see Sarah, Lindsay and Destiny.

"Oh god here we go" Destiny said and she walked away

"Heyyyy Julian" Sarah said.

I looked at her and went back to looking for the chocolate.

"Oh so you don't hear my daughter talking to you" Lindsay said

"Ma'am please stfu talking to me before I have my wife beat yo ass again"

"She ain't gonna beat shit she never did"

Destiny came back from wherever she was at
" mom you was bloody and unconscious, she beat yo ass"

I laughed at the look on Lindsay's face.

"So anyway can I get your number" Sarah said still tryna flirt wit me.

"Actually yes you can" I smiled and took her phone. I entered Kayla's number and saved it under my name.
